On March 18, 1951, the north bank of the Hongcheon River in central Korea was filled with gunsmoke and fierce battles were raging. The enemy soldiers divided into three routes and attacked the 286 heights defended by the Volunteer Army. The volunteer fighters guarding the heights have repelled two enemy attacks. This time, the enemy was cautious, they did not know how many volunteer soldiers were holding on to the heights. But when the enemy climbed up, he found that there was only one volunteer soldier holding a grenade in his hand on the position, and he was Cao Qinggong. Why is Cao Qinggong called "the last soldier on the highlands"? What kind of heroic stories were staged on that highland more than 70 years ago?
