"Quanju Civilization - Exhibition of Fine Coins from the Museum's Collection"
The vast consummation hall on the middle road of Wanshou Temple has been launched!
This exhibition displays more than 250 pieces of numismatic cultural relics in the museum's collection, including more than 20 precious cultural relics, supplemented by porcelain and miscellaneous collections, telling a brief history of the development of ancient Chinese coins from different perspectives of history and art, and introducing the artistic beauty of coins from the aspects of calligraphy, coin decoration and modeling.
The content of this exhibition is mainly divided into two parts, namely the accumulation of streamers and the grand view of foreign countries, which tells the development process of ancient Chinese coins and their spread and extensive influence as a cultural carrier, reflecting the pursuit of peace, prosperity and a better life of the ancients, and reflecting the integration of multi-ethnic cultures in different eras. It is worth mentioning that the "Quanju Civilization - Coin Collection Exhibition" is the first new exhibition to be set up at the Beijing Art Museum in 2024, attracting many numismatic enthusiasts to visit. "The main purpose of this exhibition is to bring the coins and cultural relics in the museum's collection to life, better serve the public, and contribute to the construction of a museum city. Xu Yanwei, director of the business department of the Beijing Art Museum, said.
The exhibition will last for one year from March 30, during which the museum will also launch lectures, social and educational activities, stamp punch-ins and cultural and creative products related to the theme of the exhibition.
