Three days from today (April 13 to 15), there will be a sand and dust weather process in the north, and many places in northern China will also be affected tomorrow and tomorrow. At the same time, there is still a lot of rainfall in the south, and Hubei, Jiangxi, Fujian and other places may be hit by heavy rainfall, accompanied by strong convective weather.
Today, the Central Meteorological Observatory continues to issue blue warnings for severe convective weather, blue warnings for high winds, blue warnings for heavy rain, blue warnings for sandstorms, and yellow warnings for heavy fog.
High wind + sand + cooling
Stronger cold air will affect the northern regions
Affected by the strong cold air, on the 13th ~ 15th, there will be strong winds to cool down, dust and precipitation in the northern region, with a cooling of 6~10 °C in most areas, and up to 12 °C locally, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and some parts of the northwest have sand and dust weather, and there will be light to moderate rain in the eastern part of the northwest region, North China, Huanghuai and other places, and local heavy rain.
The Central Meteorological Observatory issued a blue warning for high winds and sandstorms at the same time this morning, and the main area affected is in the north. It is expected that today, the sand and dust area will move further eastward, and some areas in northwest Qinghai, central and western Gansu, and central and northern Ningxia will have sand or floating dust weather, among which, there will be local sand and dust storms in southern and eastern Xinjiang and western Inner Mongolia.
The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a blue warning for sandstorms at 6 o'clock on April 13: Affected by cold air and strong winds, it is expected that from 8 o'clock on April 13 to 8 o'clock on the 14th, there will be sand or floating dust weather in parts of southern and eastern Xinjiang, central and western Inner Mongolia, northwest Qinghai, central and western Gansu, and central and northern Ningxia, among them, there will be local sandstorms in southern and eastern Xinjiang, western Inner Mongolia and other places.
The sand and dust brought by this round of cold air has a wide range of impacts, affecting nine provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities including Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Gansu, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Hebei, Beijing and Tianjin. Try to go out as much as possible in windy and dusty weather, and take health protection measures to avoid respiratory diseases.
The Central Meteorological Observatory will continue to issue a blue warning for high winds at 6 o'clock on April 13: It is expected that under the influence of strong cold air, from 8 o'clock on April 13 to 8 o'clock on the 14th, there will be 5~7 gales in eastern Xinjiang and southern Xinjiang Basin, central, western and southeastern Inner Mongolia, northern and eastern Gansu, Ningxia, northern Shaanxi, central and western Jilin, central and northern Liaoning, among them, the wind in eastern Xinjiang, western Inner Mongolia, and northern Gansu can reach 8~10, and gusts can reach 10~12.

There were three rounds of precipitation in mid-April in the south
The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a blue warning for severe convection and heavy rain at 10 o'clock today.
It is expected that from 14 o'clock on April 13 to 14 o'clock on the 14th, there will be 8~10 thunderstorms and strong winds or hail weather in some areas of Inner Mongolia, eastern Gansu, central and northern Shaanxi, western and eastern Shanxi, southwestern Anhui, eastern Hubei, northeast Hunan, and central and northern Jiangxi, with local winds reaching more than 11 levels;
Affected by the continuous rainfall in the early stage and the superposition of the current round of heavy rainfall, some areas in Hunan, Jiangxi, Fujian and other places are at risk of heavy rain disasters, and some areas in central and southern Hunan and central Jiangxi are at risk of strong convective disasters such as thunderstorms, strong winds and hail. Today, as the low-level jet stream strengthens and lifts northward, the heavier rain band will also lift significantly northward.
The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a blue warning for heavy rain at 10 o'clock on April 13: It is expected that from 14 o'clock on April 13 to 14 o'clock on the 14th, there will be heavy to heavy rain in some areas of northeast Hunan, northern Jiangxi, northwest Fujian, southwestern Zhejiang, southeastern Hubei, southwestern Anhui and other places, among them, there are heavy rains (100~130 mm) in northeast Jiangxi and other places, and scattered heavy rain (25~35 mm) in northern Shaanxi, western Shanxi, and western Henan. Some of the above areas are accompanied by short-term heavy precipitation (the maximum hourly rainfall is 20~50 mm, and can exceed 60 mm locally), and there are strong convective weather such as thunderstorms, strong winds or hail locally.
In addition to the current round of rainfall, two more heavy rainfall processes are expected in the south on 15-16 and 17-19 April. Throughout mid-April, the south will be in a state of frequent rainfall, and the cumulative rainfall is more than that of the same period in normal years.
