Notice on Convening the 11th Cross-Strait, Hong Kong and Macao GIS Development Seminar and Call for Papers (No. 1)

The "Cross-Strait and Hong Kong and Macao GIS Development Seminar" (formerly known as: Cross-Strait GIS Development Seminar) jointly sponsored by the China Geographic Information Industry Association, the Hong Kong Geographic Information System Society, the Cartography and Cadastre Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government and the Taiwan Geographic Information Society has been held every two years since 2000. The level of technology and application has been improved, and the exchanges and cooperation between the geographic information industry have been strengthened, and fruitful results have been achieved. The 11th Cross-Strait GIS Development Symposium is scheduled to be held in Kunming, Yunnan Province on August 28-31, 2024. The conference also calls for papers. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows.

4. Call for papers
1. The conference will collect papers and publish the proceedings at the same time. All the papers will be edited into a collection after review by the organizing committee of the conference, published at the conference, and provided for online download.
2. The topic of the paper is the same as the theme of the conference, and the direction of the paper is the same as the content of the conference report.
3. Essay collection requirements

1. Citations: Accurate references should be listed. The documents cited in the text should correspond to the documents in the reference list at the end of the text. Literature citations are in the form of (author, year), e.g., "The cycle of energy and carbon (Li Xiaoqiang, 2010)"
(1) For documents with only one author, the name of the author and the date of publication should be listed in the text; for documents co-authored by two authors, the names of both authors should be listed with "and" in the middle; for documents co-authored by three or more authors, only the first author should be listed, followed by "etc.".
(2) When citing different articles of the same author in the same year, list the author's name, and add "a", "b" or "c" after the year.
(3) When the last name and year of publication of the authors of two or more articles are the same, the abbreviation of the author's name should be given to avoid confusion.
(4) When multiple references appear in the same position in the text, they are listed in chronological order.

2. References: Sort in the order of Chinese and then Western, and Chinese and Western literature are sorted in pinyin or alphabetical order of the author's name; the punctuation in the references is all in English characters, with spaces after punctuation; Chinese Song, Times New Roman, No. 5.
(1) The English writing of the name is all spelled "surname" in front, abbreviated "name" in the back, abbreviated without abbreviation, and blank in the middle of the surname and first name. The first letter of "surname" is capitalized, and the rest are lowercase; "name" is written only with the first letter, uppercase, and space is added between the two abbreviated names. If there is a hyphen in the middle of a foreign name, it is added accordingly; in the middle of a Chinese name, a hyphen is generally not added in the middle. When citing articles co-authored by multiple authors, you need to list all the authors.
(2) In the title of Western literature, the first letter of the real word should be capitalized, and the preposition and conjunction should be lowercase, but the first letter of the first word and prepositions with more than 4 letters should be capitalized.
(3) Internet addresses and personal communications should not be placed in the reference list, but should be placed in the corresponding position in the text.
