City of Darkness: Day and Night in the Kowloon Walled City
There are no streets, no shops, just narrow corridors filled with rubbish. Nearly 40,000 people once lived in this legendary slum, where they were poor, criminals, prostitutes and more. On the eve of the demolition, Canadian photographer Greg Girard summoned the courage to come here and take a large number of photographs in a documentary way, publishing a photo book "The Dark City: Days and Nights in the Kowloon Walled City".
