Jiang Hanfeng reported: On April 9, in order to improve students' ability to respond to emergencies and further enhance the safety awareness and self-rescue and self-protection ability of all teachers and students, on the occasion of 4.15 National Security Day and 5.12 Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day, Liu Primary School in Gongchang Town, Jianli City organized second- and fourth-grade students to carry out fire safety drills.
According to Wan Wuji, principal of Liushi Primary School, before the drill began, the school had carried out fire safety knowledge publicity and education in the form of safety team meeting, blackboard newspaper, public account publicity and fire safety open class on March 15, laying the foundation for fire safety drills.
On the afternoon of April 9th, under the guidance of Director Chen, the director of political education of the school, the second and fourth grade students conducted an evacuation drill under the leadership of the class teacher, and the students went downstairs in an orderly manner and lined up in the playground.
After the evacuation drill, Principal Wan explained the consequences of the fire to the students and gave the students a deep understanding of the horror of the fire through practical demonstrations, and then demonstrated to the students how to use the fire extinguisher correctly. After the demonstration, under the recommendation of the students and the class teacher, two students from the fourth grade were selected to practice the use of fire extinguishers under the guidance of Principal Wan.
Principal Wan Wuji said that through this fire drill, the purpose is to improve the evacuation ability of teachers and students to respond to and deal with emergency safety incidents, and enhance the safety awareness of teachers and students.
