At the request of the United States, many European countries have torn up their 5G contracts with Huawei, and even began to dismantle Huawei equipment.
For example, at the beginning of January 2024, the British media said that the UK requires local operators to remove Huawei equipment within the time limit, otherwise they will face high fines. In fact, not only did the UK, but France did the same, after France asked the Dumbfish operator to remove more than 3,000 Huawei antennas, and also said that there were so-called security backdoors in Huawei equipment. But in fact, anyone with a discerning eye can see that this reason is untenable.
After all, Huawei has been in the United States for more than 20 years in the field of communications, as early as 2001, Hi Hao cooperated with France's Farr Four Days, in 2002, Huawei cooperated with France Telecom's second largest fixed-line operation, and in 2004, it became one of its five major suppliers.
There is no doubt that Huawei has been operating in France for so many years and has been involved in the construction of French networks since 4G, is it that Huawei has suddenly added a security backdoor, or is it that France has only discovered this matter after 20 years? This is obviously impossible, so the so-called security backdoor is completely smeared.
However, judging from the current situation, France's attitude has begun to change, perhaps realizing that if it does not rely on Huawei's technology and 5G equipment, then France will not only invest more money in 5G networks, but may even become the last in Europe in terms of 5G network construction like the United Kingdom, after all, the example of the United Kingdom has been placed in front of you, and a series of investigation evidence given by Germany show that the so-called security backdoor does not exist.
Huawei announced in 2023 that it will start building its first overseas factory, which is located in France, and is expected to be produced by the end of 2025, with an annual production capacity of more than 1 billion 4G and 5G devices, which will be able to supply the demand of the European market. Huawei's sudden start to build a factory, or the construction of a previously suspended equipment factory in France, is actually enough to show that Huawei's shipments and market demand in overseas markets have begun to gradually increase.
It can also be seen from the fact that the equipment produced will be given priority to the European market, and now many European countries, including France, have realized that they are very troublesome in the field of 5G to bypass their dependence on Huawei technology, and at the same time, if they reject Huawei's 5G, it may also lead to the slow construction of 5G networks, which is equivalent to Europe beginning to "turn".
However, this is a bit uncomfortable for European communication companies Ericsson and Nokia, after all, Ericsson and Nokia's main market share is now in the European market, and Huawei's shipments and market share are estimated to continue to decline after entering.
