In the activity, Comrade Li Xiaotao popularized the essentials of tree planting to young cadres through his many years of labor experience: First, the nutrient film tied to the tree should be untied, because the roots of the tree are like human blood vessels, and only by expanding can they play a greater function. Second, put the tree in the pit and straighten it to ensure that the trunk is as deep into the soil as its nursery. Third, add soil, and after adding half of the soil, lift the sapling upwards slightly, so as to ensure that the roots of the tree are all facing down. And also constantly step on the soil, do not let the soil leave air, so as to ensure that the sapling can take root in the future. Fourth, we should add more soil around the trunk, otherwise a big pit will be formed when watering in the next step, because we generally step on the soil after planting trees. In addition, a circular earthen dam is built with soil around the tree, so that the water can be stored during watering.
Through this tree-planting activity, the awareness of afforestation and ecological environment protection of young cadres has been improved, and the sense of responsibility for protecting ecological balance and greening homes has been further strengthened, and the vitality, cohesion and team spirit of young cadres have been enhanced, and the awareness of serving the society and repaying the society has been enhanced.
