On April 9, local time, the 22nd batch of Chinese peacekeeping medical detachments to Lebanon, together with peacekeeping troops from Spain, Serbia, France, Indonesia and other countries, carried out a joint medical rescue exercise codenamed "Blue Helmet Angel-2024" to jointly improve the medical rescue capability to respond to various emergencies.
Against the backdrop of a traffic accident and multiple injuries in a Spanish peacekeeping force patrol convoy during the journey, the joint rescue exercise relied on Chinese and Spanish peacekeeping hospitals, focusing on the reception and transfer of the wounded, on-site first aid, and in-hospital treatment, so as to temper the emergency rescue and coordination support capabilities of the medical institutions of UNIFIL Regional Command East.

"The China Peacekeeping Hospital, which is the Eastern Sector Operations Command Center, has one 'wounded' located 2 kilometers northwest of the Chinese Hospital. After receiving the order, the combat duty room of the Chinese peacekeeping hospital immediately activated the emergency rescue plan, organized ambulances and medical personnel to go to the scene of the incident, and worked with the medical personnel of the participating countries to classify the "wounded", collect information, bandage wounds, stop bleeding and fix, and transfer and evacuate. After nearly 2 hours of intense and orderly drills, the members of each post cooperated to complete various joint treatment drills.

Xu Yongyong, a military doctor of the medical detachment, said: "In this exercise, we mainly focused on information exchange, joint operations, and treatment of the wounded, further improved the joint treatment plan for responding to various emergencies in the mission area, and continuously improved the medical treatment capacity of the detachment." ”
It is reported that since its deployment in mid-December last year, the detachment has received more than 900 medical treatments, provided more than 300 free medical treatments to local people, and successfully completed various exercises and exercises, winning high recognition and praise from UNIFIL Command, peacekeepers from other countries, and the local Lebanese people.
