On April 11, the 2024 Guangdong Provincial Primary School Mathematics Teaching and Research Activity, sponsored by the People's Education Press, was held in Foshan Experimental School. On the same day, a variety of contents such as theme reports, teaching practices, and exchanges of teaching and research experience were arranged, attracting more than 300 people from all over the province to listen to the lectures.

In the activities of the day, an in-depth discussion was conducted on the lesson example of "The Sum of the Inner Angles of Triangles" taught by Huang Zhenwen, a teacher from Foshan Experimental School. Huang Zhenxin set up a vivid and interesting teaching scenario to guide students to think about "whether the sum of the inner angles of a triangle is equal to 180 degrees" and "why is the sum of the internal angles of a triangle equal to 180 degrees?", and attached importance to guiding students to preview independently, raise doubts, cooperate and communicate, and let students walk in front of the class.
Subsequently, two teachers from Gaoming District and Sanshui District gave lectures and demonstrations, and Qian Yuntao, deputy director of the Teaching and Research Office of Foshan Education Bureau, gave a special lecture.

"I think today's harvest is very great, some experts from the education society to analyze the future trend of the new textbook, and the lesson example link also fully reflects the results of nonlinear education research in Foshan City. Chen Xiaoxing, a mathematics teacher at the Nanhai Normal Affiliated Primary School in Foshan City, said that through this listening, she will better focus on how to be student-oriented and learn to teach, and implement it into her classroom practice.
It is understood that Chancheng District attaches great importance to mathematics education, and in recent years, it has further strengthened the top-level design of education and built a brand of primary school mathematics education. So far, 81 primary schools in the district have formulated innovative teaching implementation plans, and nearly 1,200 mathematics teachers have actively participated in innovative teaching practice and research. In this process, Chancheng has successively held 45 large-scale innovative teaching observation and discussion activities in the whole region, and at the same time carried out competition activities and research projects simultaneously with provincial and municipal teaching and research. In addition, Chancheng District has also formulated an action plan of "implementing innovative teaching and leading the high-quality development of primary school mathematics teaching" to take every step to implement the new curriculum standards.
