It is understood that the Shenjiang Railway starts from the newly built Shenzhen Xili Station, goes west through Dongguan City, Guangzhou City, Zhongshan City, Jiangmen City, and connects to Jiangmen Station of Zhanjiang Railway, with a total length of 116 kilometers. The design speed of the section from Xili to Nansha in Shenzhen is 200 kilometers per hour, and the design speed of the section from Nansha to Jiangmen is 250 kilometers per hour, with bridges and tunnels accounting for 98%. The 12 bid sections undertaken by the 25th Bureau of China Railway mainly include the 13.41-kilometer main line, Jiangmen dredging line, Jiangmen moving line and the station front project of the storage yard, 455-hole double-line beam, 92-hole single-line beam erection task and the whole line track laying and other construction tasks.
The Shenzhen-Jiangxi Railway is an important part of the coastal passage of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network, and after the completion of the project, the connection between the two sides of the Pearl River will be strengthened and the coastal passage will be unblocked. At that time, the Qianhai Free Trade Zone in Shenzhen and the Nansha Free Trade Zone in Guangzhou will be able to realize the interconnection of high-speed rail within half an hour, which is of great significance for the implementation of the new positioning of "one point and two places" in the Greater Bay Area, accelerating the construction of a world-class Greater Bay Area, and radiating and driving the coordinated development of eastern and western Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta.
