According to Xinhua News Agency, Li Qiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and premier of the State Council, presided over a forum of experts and entrepreneurs on the economic situation on the afternoon of April 8 to listen to opinions and suggestions on the current economic situation and the next step of economic work.

At this high-level symposium, Zhang Yuyan, Wu Ge, Peng Wensheng, Bai Chongen, Gu Jie, Zhang Shaoming, Li Xiande, Jiang Yingwu and others spoke successively. They believe that since the beginning of this year, in the face of a complex and severe external environment, the mainland's economic operation has continued to pick up and improve. Although there are still many difficulties and challenges, the positive factors in economic development continue to increase, and market confidence has been enhanced.

The experts and entrepreneurs attending the meeting analyzed the contradictions and problems existing in the current economic operation from different angles, and put forward opinions and suggestions on further improving macroeconomic policies and doing a good job in economic work.

As a representative of photovoltaic enterprises, Li Xiande, Chairman of JinkoSolar, was invited to attend the symposium and make a report on the current economic situation and the development of the photovoltaic industry. He said that as the cumulative installed capacity of domestic photovoltaics officially surpassed that of hydropower, photovoltaics have become the main force to achieve the "double carbon" goal, which has directly promoted the shift of the center of gravity of the global new energy industry to the mainland. China's photovoltaic industry not only provides a steady stream of green kinetic energy for countries around the world, but also helps the mainland become a leader in the global energy transition.

Li Xiande said that China's photovoltaic industry is "unique in the world" and is inseparable from continuous technological innovation. Ten years ago, the conversion efficiency of photovoltaic cells was only 18%, but in the past 10 years, JinkoSolar has worked with outstanding companies in the industry to promote the continuous improvement of cell conversion efficiency at a rate of 0.7% per year, and now the mainstream mass production efficiency in the market exceeds 26%, and the laboratory efficiency has exceeded 33%. With the acceleration of technology iteration, photovoltaic power generation has become the most economical and competitive energy source, and the new power generation mode of photovoltaic + energy storage will be widely used and gradually become the main form of power supply in the future.

"Despite the remarkable achievements of the PV industry in China, the industry still faces some practical challenges. Li Xiande believes that green development has become a global consensus, and in the current context of promoting energy transition and achieving carbon neutrality goals, photovoltaics, especially distributed photovoltaics, have become an important driving force for building an intelligent and efficient energy Internet. He suggested that the country should speed up the construction of new energy storage systems, establish a market-oriented power trading model, accelerate the construction of smart grids, and ensure the efficient consumption of photovoltaic power generation.

As the world's largest PV module supplier, JinkoSolar has supplied more than 210GW of modules to more than 190 countries and regions around the world. JinkoSolar has always regarded technological innovation as the core driving force of its development, breaking the world record for 25 consecutive times, and is one of the companies with the most technology patents in the industry. In recent years, JinkoSolar has vigorously promoted R&D breakthroughs and production capacity implementation of N-type technologies, leading the industry to accelerate the transformation and upgrading from P-type to N-type technologies, and greatly improving the competitiveness of photovoltaic power generation. Through digital intelligent manufacturing and traceable supply chain, JinkoSolar has achieved effective traceability of product carbon footprints, driving energy conservation and carbon reduction in the entire photovoltaic industry chain.

Li Xiande said that JinkoSolar will closely focus on the national "dual carbon" goal, on the one hand, adhere to the innovation-driven development strategy, consolidate the leading edge of technology, and accelerate the forging of new quality productivity in the photovoltaic industry, on the other hand, focus on improving the ability and level of intelligent manufacturing, and use excellent and leading products to lead the high-quality development of the mainland's photovoltaic new energy industry together with outstanding enterprises in the industry, and contribute to the green transformation of the development mode.
