Here, we witnessed the hard life of Lao Lian and his wife in the tin house, and also heard the complaints of Ms. Chen and other villagers about the difficulty of renting a house and the poor living conditions. Many of them had to return to cramped boats or crammed into makeshift shelters. The scorching summer heat and the threat of typhoons have made their lives like a year.
The land on which resettlement houses should have been built is still barren. The expropriation compensation agreement held by the villagers seems to have become a blank check that cannot be cashed. The arrears of the transition fee have made their lives even worse.
Faced with such a situation, the villagers are eagerly looking forward to moving into new houses as soon as possible. Many of them are old and financially challenged, and can no longer afford the high cost of renting. They are eager for the relevant departments to solve the resettlement problem as soon as possible, so that they can live a stable life.
However, the reality of the predicament is helpless. Due to the approval of planned land, the construction progress of resettlement housing has been delayed. Although the relevant authorities said that they are actively dealing with it, it is still unknown when it will be resolved.
As a result, people can't help but question the original renovation project. What was supposed to be a project to improve the living conditions of fishermen has now left them in a deeper predicament. We call on the relevant departments to pay real attention to the issue of people's livelihood and solve the housing problems of the villagers as soon as possible. At the same time, we also hope that all sectors of society can pay attention to their plight and provide them with help within their capabilities.
