West German Radio Symphony Orchestra

On the evening of April 14th, the West German Radio Symphony Orchestra will perform Brahms's Symphonies No. 1 and No. 3 with Chief Conductor and Grammy Award winner Christian Maisera. Brahms, known as the last master of classical music after Beethoven, wrote only four symphonies in his lifetime. As early as 2015, when the West German Radio Symphony Orchestra toured China, it brought the complete set of Brahms's symphonies, and became the first German symphony orchestra to perform the complete set of Brahms in China, and its performance was widely acclaimed.

The West German Radio Symphony Orchestra can be described as a steady and steady "Benge School". Since the 50s of the 20th century, the orchestra has performed world premieres of several works, witnessing the development of contemporary music history. Since the 2019/20 season, the West German Radio Symphony Orchestra has been conducted by Christian Maisera. Not long ago, the famous classical music website Bachtrack announced the list of "10 busiest conductors in the world" in 2023, and Messera ranked seventh, which is enough to show its popularity.
