Recently, the China Literature and Art Critics Association announced the list of new members in 2024, and the 68-year-old Zhang Huazhong, a calligrapher and writer in our city, is among them, and is the fourth member of the city to join this national association, and it is also a national member of the city with three identities of the Chinese Writers Association, the Chinese Calligraphers Association, and the China Literature and Art Critics Association.

Born in 1956, Zhang Huazhong is a native of Huaiyang, with pen names Qianfu, Gu Yue, Mei Bearded Gong, Liangwan Jushi, etc., known as Tingtao Zhai and Yi Scoop Zhai, and is a distinguished professor of Zhoukou Normal University.

In 1979, Zhang Huazhong began to publish works, and wrote poetry collections such as "Footprints", "Summer Rain", "Bitter Chewing", "Walking and Moaning" and other books.

Zhang Huazhong liked calligraphy in his youth, diligent and studious, his small Kai was leisurely and handsome, clean and free but the atmosphere was big, the words were full of "bookish spirit, gentleman's spirit, famous morale", quite a Ming Dynasty calligrapher Wen Zhengming Xiaokai's charm, highlighting his profound calligraphy skills and a deep understanding of the essence of regular script, but also reflecting his calm mood and peaceful mentality. He said: "Calligraphy is not only a process of 'enlightenment', but also a process of practice. ”

Zhang Huazhong's calligraphy has been selected for the 7th National Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition and the first "China Calligraphy Pavilion Award National Calligraphy Exhibition", and his calligraphy works have won the first prize of calligraphy in the "Big Red Eagle Cup" National Calligraphy Grand Prix, the first prize of the first calligraphy and painting competition in the press of Henan Province, and more than 20 national and provincial awards. His calligraphy works have been collected by the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, the China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the Lanting Calligraphy Museum and well-known figures at home and abroad, and the calligraphy work "Selected Sentences from the Tao Te Ching" has been collected by the Cross-Strait Exchange Center of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.

In recent years, Zhang Huazhong has focused on the study of calligraphy theory, and has published a collection of calligraphy, such as "Dadao Hanmo", "Hundred Flowers Poems", "String Song Daya" and "Chen Feng Daya". The published calligraphy theory books "A Scoop House Book Talk" and "A Scoop House Book" are the foundational academic works of calligraphy theory in our city.

In recent years, Mr. Zhang has published many excellent cultural books, and often communicates with young people in his spare time to help them solve various problems. Feng Jianxing, secretary general of the Municipal Literature and Art Critics Association, said that the teacher's hard work, tolerance and open-mindedness, care for young people, and commitment to cultural missions are examples for Zhoukou's academic and cultural circles. ②16
