In order to continue the red culture of Shanghai, the Huangpu District Cultural Center, under the framework of party building and joint construction, and the General Party Branch of the Music and Drama Department of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Drama created the "One Branch, One Brand" construction project, and jointly created the situational musical "Fuxing Buzhuang". As a support project of the Propaganda Department of the Huangpu District Party Committee for the theme activity of "Chasing Dreams in a New Era, Striving for New Achievements", the play recently held a series of activities to build a group.
No. 171-173 Yunnan Middle Road (formerly No. 447 Yunnan Road), Li Haizhou of the Huangpu District Cultural Center has been here more than once. As the screenwriter of "Fuxing Buzhuang", every time he came, he seemed to have stepped into that stormy period - after the defeat of the Great Revolution, the party's activities gradually moved from open and semi-open to underground, and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China secretly worked in Fuxing Buzhuang on the second floor of No. 447 Yunnan Road to guide the national revolution. Characters such as Xiong Jinting and his wife, the "red account room" in the play, are also gradually coming out in Li Haizhou's mind.
Not long ago, a group of people younger than Li Haizhou poured into the former site of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (1928-1931) at No. 171-173 Yunnan Middle Road (formerly No. 447 Yunnan Road). In addition to paying homage and remembering the old site, they also arranged a script reading session here. Some student actors said that participating in the rehearsal of "Fuxing Buzhuang" was a special and glorious experience, "It is not only a performance, but also a reproduction of history and a tribute to heroes." Moving the stage to the old site not only allows the audience to experience more historical context, but also allows us to present their glorious image with a more sincere performance. ”
Since 2020, when the Huangpu District Cultural Center signed an agreement with the Musical Theatre Department of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, in order to reform the new way of ideological and political education and deepen the story of the red relics, they have successively created the musical sitcom "Pursuit", "Danxin Embroidery", "Fuxing Buzhuang: The Red Center under the White Terror", as well as the songs "Wish", "Bright Moonlight under the Window", "Watching and Helping" and other works, which have been performed many times in the city, district and school, and have been well received by the audience.
At the end of last year, under the guidance and support of the Propaganda Department of the Huangpu District Party Committee and the Shangyin Propaganda Department, the two sides successfully applied for the theme activity project of "Pursuing Dreams in the New Era and Striving to Build New Achievements".
In order to motivate all the teachers and students of the crew to inherit the red culture with a high sense of mission and responsibility, before the Qingming Festival, the crew also held a solemn ceremony in front of the martyrs monument in the Longhua Martyrs Cemetery, to extend the highest respect and deepest remembrance to those martyrs who fought for the rise of China and the liberation of the people. Screenwriter Li Haizhou also shared with the repertoire director and teacher of the Department of Music and Drama Ma Liang the creative experience and the perception of the rehearsal of "Fuxing Buzhuang" with the teachers and students of Shangyin.
It is worth mentioning that the situational musical "Fuxing Buzhuang" will be performed 8 times in a row at the former site of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee (1928-1931) during the "Glorious City" Shanghai Red Culture Season from May to July.
The former site of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (1928-1931) is located at No. 171-173 Yunnan Middle Road (formerly No. 447 Yunnan Road), Huangpu District, close to the Tianchan Yifu stage. This is the site of the longest-used organ of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in Shanghai. In June 2018, the renovation project of the former site of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (1928-1931) was officially launched. On October 1, 2020, the exhibition "Red Center under the White Terror" - the former site of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (1928-1931) was opened to the public.
