and the case of the required e-bike
Electric bicycles are convenient, time-saving and efficient to drive, and have become a means of transportation for many people. However, the potential safety hazards caused by illegal charging and illegal modification of electric bicycles should not be underestimated. This case stems from a heart-wrenching fire incident.

1. Illegal charging of electric bicycles caused fires
"Boom!" an electric bicycle suddenly exploded, instantly breaking the tranquility of the residential community. Afterwards, according to the investigation results of relevant departments: the accident was caused by the illegal charging of electric bicycles in the bedroom.
So, in addition to illegal charging, whether there is a quality and safety problem with the electric bicycle involved? The Putuo District Market Supervision Bureau immediately decided to investigate whether the quality of the electric bicycle is qualified and whether there is illegal modification.

2. Increase the pace of the e-bike by tampering with the circuit
The law enforcement officers immediately conducted a joint investigation with the public security and fire departments, and after determining the brand and model of the electric bicycle involved, they found that the seller of the vehicle involved was the person concerned.
Law enforcement officers were quickly dispatched to the parties to conduct on-site inspections. In the face of the investigation, the party pretended to be calm and directly took out the product certificate, purchase certificate and other materials of the model of electric bicycle, claiming that the materials were complete and the quality of the electric bicycle was definitely fine.
After some inspection, it was found that there was indeed no problem with the materials and inspection certificates. But one of the data in the certificate: the rated voltage of 48V, attracted the attention of law enforcement officers. According to the materials provided by the fire department, the battery voltage that caught fire was 60V. One battery, two voltages, there must be a problem!
The goal is clear, the law enforcement officers directly opened the battery compartment of the electric bicycle, carefully checked and inspected, and found that there are multiple strands of lines to be connected in the battery compartment, are these all spare lines? Is there any special purpose?
The person insisted that he did not know. Law enforcement officers found several electric bicycles in the corner of the warehouse, scattered with some parts suspected of being used for modification. Law enforcement officers immediately made a decision to temporarily detain the suspected illegal items and immediately send these suspected modified vehicles to professional institutions for inspection.
After inspection, the redundant lines inside these electric bicycles can be used to illegally adjust the speed limit, which does not meet the relevant provisions of the national mandatory standard "Safety Technical Specifications for Electric Bicycles" (GB17761-2018), which is a typical illegal behavior.

3. Crack down on illegal modifications of electric vehicles
In the face of ironclad evidence, the party finally admitted that it had illegally modified the electrical wiring of electric bicycles to increase the use voltage and speed limits, so as to achieve the purpose of increasing sales.
The illegal modification and sale of electric bicycles by the parties violated the relevant provisions of the Product Quality Law of the People's Republic of China and the Regulations of Shanghai Municipality on the Safety Management of Non-motor Vehicles.
