In order to make every effort to do a good job in traffic diversion during the "appreciation" season, ensure the smooth holding of the 6th Jacaranda Culture and Art Festival and the normal travel of residents in the Jiaochang Road area, the Kunming Public Security Traffic Police will take timely measures to actively create a safe, smooth and orderly traffic environment in the area and enhance the experience of citizens and tourists in accordance with the overall idea of "core flow control, peripheral drainage, and regional diversion".
During the 6th Jacaranda Culture and Arts Festival, the following traffic control measures will be taken in due course according to the flow of people and vehicles:
On weekends, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. every day, one-way traffic will be implemented from the south to the north of Jiaochang Middle Road (from Beilian Huating to Kunming Branch of the School of International Relations), and one-way traffic will be implemented from the north to the south of Zhengjiao Road (from the Kunming Branch of the School of International Relations to the Beilian Huating).
During the "May Day" holiday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. every day, traffic control will be carried out on Jiaochang Middle Road (Xuefu Road - Jiaochang North Road) and Zhengjiao Road, and only buses, emergency response vehicles and household vehicles in the area will be allowed to pass, and other vehicles will be detoured from the roads around the area;
Vehicles are able to pass normally in both directions on weekdays.
At the same time, in order to further improve the comprehensive traffic management level of the "Appreciation Tree" season, the first brigade of the traffic police in the jurisdiction actively promotes the investigation and management of traffic congestion points in the Jiaochang Road area, the balance of dynamic and static traffic supply and demand, the optimization and adjustment of road traffic organization, and the improvement of the sharing rate of public transportation, so as to systematically improve the traffic operation status of the area and provide a safe and orderly traffic environment and a safe and comfortable environment for tourists and residents in the area.
