Under the call of the country, I was honored to become a member of the foreign aid medical team, and came to Nepal with the team on June 28, 2023, hoping to leave my footprints of struggle.

When I first arrived in Nepal, I was blown away by the country's natural and human beauty. Snow-capped mountains, peaks, rivers, forests, and enthusiastic people have smiles as warm as the sun. This unique social and cultural landscape and magnificent natural landscape complement each other, and also make tourists from all over the world linger.

However, as I immersed myself and touched the depths of her soul, I gradually discovered that the people of this country are plagued by disease and poverty all the time, and I witnessed the lack of medical resources in the local area, and I also felt people's desire for health. During my time in Nepal, I witnessed many struggles between life and death. I have seen the helpless eyes of the child on the hospital bed, and I have seen the anxious face of the mother...... It has strengthened my belief that I will use my professional knowledge to send warmth and help to the people of Nepal.

Outpatient visits, consultations, training and lectures...... During the period of aid to Nepal, the medical team fully and solidly carried out its work, combined with the construction needs of various departments of B.P. Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, and actively carried out "passing, helping, and leading", effectively improving the hospital's service capacity and management level.

The medical team also actively participated in local public health publicity and health education activities, and went to remote areas to provide free clinics. On November 3, 2023, a 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck Nepal, and we were in the easternmost county of Nepal at that time.

The Department of Urology is a key department of the B.P. Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, and the majority of patients with urological tumors have high risks and difficulties.

I was in a medical group with Nierman, a well-known local urology professor, and I made rounds at 9 a.m. every morning, with surgery days on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and outpatient hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The day of surgery is an unusually busy day, usually four or five surgeries, mainly kidney cancer, bladder cancer, and penile cancer, from morning to night. I was engaged in surgery with a bulging cervical and lumbar intervertebral discs, and after a day of surgery, I was often so tired that I couldn't straighten my waist, and I relied on plasters to relieve the pain.

Although it is hard, when I see the smiles of patients and hear their praises, I feel that it is worth it. The hard work has also allowed me to be recognized by my local peers and gain friendship. Director Nierman wrote a warm letter of thanks and sent it to the leaders of my rear hospital, which is the greatest affirmation of our work and a great encouragement.

A year is fleeting, and there are still 3 months left for us to return to our homeland with full memories and feelings. In the coming period, I will work with a more energetic and promising spirit, never disappoint the trust and expectations of the motherland, and make my own contribution to China-Nepal friendship.
