DPP Lai Ching-te is still 40 days before he takes office, and his personnel appointment case has also attracted much attention from the outside world. So far, there have been several versions, the latest version of which is that Xie Changting's son Bing Zhuo Rongtai is the head of the administrative agency, and Zheng Lijun, who used to be the head of the cultural department, is his deputy. Pan Mengan, Lai's director-general during the election and former Pingtung County Governor, will serve as Lai's chief of staff, and Tsai Ing-wen's confidant Gu Lixiong will take over Taiwan's defense. It is widely believed that this is a political spoilt within the DPP, balancing the forces of various factions while Lai Qingde's core people take office. However, these people have another identity outside of Taiwan's political situation, and if we cast our eyes on both sides of the strait, it is not difficult to find that these people are "two-faced people in the Taiwan Strait." All of them used to make money on the mainland and visit the mainland, but now they are hiding in the island of Taiwan to deal with the mainland. In the future, the two sides of the strait will certainly have constant turmoil under the instigation of these people, because they are very familiar with the mainland, and the sharp sword of backstabbing will often hit the vital point.
Lai Qingde
In Lai Qingde's list, Zhuo Rongtai is Xie Changting's number one disciple, Xie Changting returned to the mainland to visit his ancestors, and Zhuo Rongtai was around him. Zheng Lijun's husband, Shen Xuerong, invested in the mainland from 2008 to 2016 and made a lot of money. Pan Mengan was one of the first Taiwanese businessmen to expand business on the mainland, and he was also the general manager of the first Taiwanese enterprise to welcome after the establishment of the Shantou Special Economic Zone. Even Gu Lixiong, whom we have identified as a "Taiwan independence diehard," has visited the mainland as a senior lawyer and has a very in-depth understanding of the mainland. In fact, since Tsai Ing-wen came to power, the DPP authorities have begun to vigorously reuse "two-faced people in the Taiwan Strait" who have had contact with the mainland. For example, Tsai Ing-wen's current chief of staff, Lin Jialong, has been studying on the mainland for many years, and Tsai Mingyan, the current head of the security department, is a Taiwanese who once participated in high-level cross-strait meetings. These people understand the mainland, and they are more damaging to cross-strait relations than those diehards of Taiwan independence who refuse to engage with the mainland.
Zhuo Rongtai
Zhuo Rongtai is the "elder brother" of the Mesozoic ethnic group of the Democratic Progressive Party, and as early as 1987, he served as the director of the office of Taipei City Councilor Hsieh Chang-ting. He and Wang Shijian, the current representative of the legislature, both graduated from Taipei University, and both are important figures in Hsieh's camp. Xie Changting appreciated Zhuo Rongtai very much and passed on a lot of political resources to him, which can be regarded as a political successor cultivated by himself. In 1989, Hsieh Chang-ting began to challenge for the position of representative of the legislature, and Zhuo Rongtai succeeded him in the Taipei City Council, and both were successfully elected. Hsieh Changting was elected mayor of Kaohsiung City in 1998, and Zhuo Rongtai succeeded Hsieh Changting in the election of the legislature's representative of public opinion, which was the most successful generational power transfer in the early days of the DPP. After being elected to the legislature in 1999, Cheuk began to shuttle between the two sides of the strait with Hsieh. In 2003, Zhuo Rongtai, director of the DPP's Social Development Department, and Ye Yijin, director of the Women's Department, visited the mainland with a delegation and received high-level hospitality. In 2012, when Xie Changting returned to his hometown in Fujian to worship his ancestors, Zhuo Rongtai also went to the mainland with the group.
Xie Changting
When Zhuo Rongtai was elected chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party in 2019, he began to show his fangs towards the mainland. He vainly claimed: "The two sides of the strait can be good neighbors, but they are by no means a family." At the same time, he also demanded that the mainland abandon the "one-China" policy and began to secretly attack the mainland. In April 2019, mainland police arrested a Taiwanese spy, Zheng Yuqin. After investigation, Zheng Yuqin not only has the identity of the Democratic Progressive Party, but also served as Zhuo Rongtai's secretary assistant. According to the information disclosed by the mainland media: "Zheng Yuqin took advantage of the opportunity to participate in the meeting and receive the visiting delegation, and then collected sensitive intelligence and climbed the key personnel who opposed us. and to sow discord between the mainland of the motherland and other countries. "It is obvious whether there is Zhuo Rongtai's instruction in this, in order to smear the mainland and destroy the image of the mainland, they have even extended their hands overseas. In addition to Zhuo Rongtai, Zheng Lijun, who will become the deputy head of the administrative agency, also makes money on the mainland all year round, and also uses cultural organizations such as the "Green Platform" to conduct cognitive warfare on the mainland.
Zheng Yuqin
Founded in 1996, Zheng Lijun's husband, Shen Xuerong's Juci Group, is an enterprise mainly engaged in the supply of electronic equipment, equipment wiring and building materials. During the period from 2008 to 2016, trade between the two sides of the strait was frequent, and a large number of Taiwanese capital and Taiwanese enterprises entered the mainland. Juci Group has also invested hundreds of millions of yuan in mainland China, and its business territory covers all provinces in East China and South China. In 2012, Zheng Lijun, as a public official, provided a property declaration amount of NT$166.64 million, making her a well-known wealthy woman in the DPP. And after she became the head of the cultural department of the Tsai Ing-wen administration of the Democratic Progressive Party, she began to vigorously promote "de-Sinicization" education, not only declaring that "Taiwan is not part of China", but also actively touting the relationship between Taiwan and Japan. After stepping down from public office, Zheng Lijun served as the chairman of the board of directors of the "Green Platform", a cultural foundation that promotes the "idea of Taiwan independence." Among them, there are "Taiwan independence" scholars from all walks of life, who propagate the concept of "Taiwan independence" to the outside world in the form of lectures, summer camps, and cultural performances, and even some people from the youth platform have even entered the mainland after changing their faces.
Zheng Lijun
If Zhuo Rongtai and Cheng Lijun take over Taiwan's administrative apparatus, they may not be as radical as Su Zhenchang, who puts hostility to the mainland in the open. However, there will definitely be no shortage of cold arrows they have shot in the dark, and behind their well-dressed and sanctimonious appearance is still the ambition of "Taiwan independence." In addition to them, Pan Meng'an, Lai's director-general in the general election, will also become Lai's chief of staff. Both Pan Meng'an and Lai Qingde came from poor peasant families, Lai Qingde's father was a miner, and Pan Meng'an's father was a fishmonger. From an early age, he helped his family sell fish in wet markets and bazaars, and when he grew up, he began to engage in onion farming and aquaculture. Later, he became a member of a feed company, helping them manage the fish ponds, and worked his way up to management. In 1988, the company invested in the Shantou Special Economic Zone on the mainland and became the first Taiwanese enterprise in the local area, and Pan Mengan was sent to Shantou as the general manager. It was also during this period that he gained a deep understanding of the mainland. In 1992, he returned to Taiwan, citing dissatisfaction with the mainland's policy toward Taiwanese businessmen, and after that, he began to engage in "Taiwan independence" work for a long time.
Pan Meng'an
In the 90s of the last century, the mainland's overall economic situation was not good, but there were definitely a lot of caring policies for Taiwan businessmen. Many Taiwanese businessmen entered the mainland during this period and earned their first pot of gold with cheap raw materials and labor. Like Pan Meng'an and others, to put it bluntly, they are "uncooked" and "not fed". Pan Mengan can be said to be smooth sailing in the political arena, and became the magistrate of Pingtung County in 2014. His main political opinion during the election campaign was to promote direct flights between the mainland and Pingtung, and he said at the time: "Pingtung is not unconditioned to fly directly to the mainland, but no one has actively promoted it before, which is a great regret." "No matter how much they oppose the mainland in terms of political stance, when it comes to specific economic interests, they immediately change their faces. In their hearts, these "two-faced people" only want to make money from the mainland, and then claim hegemony on the island, and there is no morality or concept at all. We opened a door for them with the kindness of our thoughts, hoping that they would be able to accompany us after seeing the friendship of the motherland, but we did not expect that these people would still harbor evil intentions after arriving on the mainland.
Gu Lixiong
Tsai Ing-wen's most powerful thugs during her tenure are Wang Dingyu, a representative of the legislature, and Gu Lixiong, the current secretary general of the Security Council. Gu Lixiong used to be a lawyer for Lee Teng-hui and Chen Shui-bian, and Tsai Ing-wen's first job as a legal adviser also came from Wanguo Law Firm, where Gu Lixiong was a partner. In 1998 and 2004, Gu Lixiong went to the mainland as a lawyer of the International Law Firm to provide judicial assistance. At that time, he also said in front of the media: "I know that in the legal environment of the mainland, my ability to play is limited, but I will still provide assistance to Taiwanese people through the common professional background with mainland lawyers." "These people have gradually become familiar with the mainland through repeated exchanges, and now they bite back and go to the bone. If Gu Lixiong really became the head of Taiwan's defense department in the end, then cross-strait turmoil is inevitable. Just as Taiwan's retired general Li Zhengjie said: "If Gu Lixiong is really in charge of the Taiwan army, military reunification will come soon."
Su Zhenchang
Tsai Ing-wen and Lai Qingde are both vigorously reusing "two-faced people", although it seems that Zhuo Rongtai and Zheng Lijun have no edge, and it seems that they will not directly collide with cross-strait relations like Su Zhenchang. However, it is easy to dodge with open guns, but it is difficult to guard against hidden arrows, especially since Lai Qingde has already put forward the hope that Taiwan's social reconstruction and spiritual cleansing will be realized during his term of office. It seems that the "cultural Taiwan independence" pursued by Zheng Lijun during her tenure as head of the cultural department will be deepened, so that "anti-China" will become the cultural gene of the next young generation. After Gu Lixiong takes over the Taiwan military, the Taiwan military may further intensify its efforts against mainland ships, and even deliberately create friction between the two sides of the strait to constantly provoke the mainland's bottom line. They use this method of repeatedly jumping sideways to win space for "Taiwan independence," and the DPP's bet is that the mainland will not make a move, and this is also their only hole card. We must not fall into their trap, and when we see the right opportunity, we should go all out to resolve the Taiwan issue once and for all. Otherwise, if it drags on indefinitely, under Lai Qingde's "spiritual cleansing," cross-strait relations will only become farther and farther apart.
