Zhou Ling, the daughter of the martyr, took her father's martyr's certificate home to place the heroic soul on the hero wall

On March 12, 2022, Huang Li, the second generation of the Red Sixth Army, interviewed Zhou Ling and wrote an article: The story series of the officers and soldiers of the 359th Brigade and their descendants (1), which was published on the black soil website of the Heilongjiang Agricultural Reclamation Bureau:

The story of the old Red Army, martyr Zhou Jiansheng and daughter Zhou Ling

Zhou Ling, the daughter of Zhou Jiansheng, a veteran of the Red Army, a cadre of the Eighth Route Army, and a martyr, is now in her old age, and her father spilled his blood on the battlefield when she was young and died heroically! Today, Zhou Ling has only seen articles about her father, which were published in the book "The Last Red Army" and a few photos of her father before his death, which often arouse her longing ......for her father Zhou Jiansheng.

Page 189 of the book "The Last Red Army" records the martyr Zhou Jiansheng as follows:

Zhou Jiansheng was born in 1916 in Dudian Village, Jishui County, Jiangxi Province. In 1930, at the age of 14, he joined the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army (Red Sixth Army). He joined the Communist Party of China in 1935. He participated in the Western Expedition of the Red Sixth Army and the Long March of the Red Second and Sixth Army Corps. During the Anti-Japanese War, he fought against the Japanese invaders in the 359th Brigade. Participated in the large-scale production of Nanniwan. During the Liberation War, when fighting at the collar of the Central Plains, the environment was harsh, the enemy was attacked in front and rear, and the cliffs were steep on both sides. At this critical juncture, he led a battalion of soldiers to rush through the enemy's blockade line with a fierce attack, so that the troops turned the corner of danger. After crossing the Sichuan-Shaanxi Road, he led the alert troops to calmly organize firepower and resolutely resist the enemy, so that the whole army could safely pass and successfully complete the covering task. In the battle of annihilating the 135th Brigade of the Hu Bandits at the Yangma River, he led the three battalions to surprise the enemy, flanked the retreating enemy, and obtained a large amount of booty, which was praised by his superiors.

He has a strong party spirit and a strict sense of organization, consciously abides by discipline, and never cares about personal status and enjoyment. When he was in the plain formation, he was transferred from the battalion commander to be the platoon commander, and later he was sent to be a grain and straw man; during the difficult times on the way to break through, he was transferred to be the battalion commander, and later he was sent to the brigade division of the Luliang Military Region as the reconnaissance section chief. From time to time, he took "obedience to orders is a soldier's duty" as the criterion, happily obeyed his orders, and brilliantly fulfilled all the combat tasks assigned by his superiors.

1948 was a decisive victory in the country in the Liberation War, and the battle of Yongfeng in the Libei Campaign in the winter of that year was a battle to cooperate with the victory of the Huaihai Campaign in the Central Plains and East China and to change the situation of see-saw and stalemate in Weibei. At that time, Jiang bandit Hu Zongnan formed the Dongfu Defense Group with the strength of three armies and three divisions, and stationed in Hebei, Linpu and other places in an attempt to hold on. The second column of our First Field Army (359th and 358th Brigades) was ordered to take on the task of annihilating the enemy's 76th Army in the Yongfeng area. At that time, Zhou Jiansheng was the deputy commander of the 359th Regiment of the 717th Brigade. On November 28, when the battle was at its fiercest, Deputy Regiment Commander Zhou personally went to the front line to command the assault battalion and was seriously wounded, but he still insisted on directing the battle until he died honorably at the age of 32. The second column attacked and attacked like a bamboo, completely annihilated the 76th Army of the Hu bandits within three days, captured its commander Li Riji alive, and successfully ended the Yongfeng Campaign, writing a glorious page in the history of our army's war.

Zhou Jian was wounded six times before his death, and he was a third-class disabled soldier. He sacrificed his life for the cause of the liberation of the Chinese people! Let us hold high their banners and march forward on the trail of their blood, the martyrs who gave their lives for the cause of the liberation of the Chinese people!

It has been more than 70 years since the martyr Zhou Jiansheng passed away, what happened to his wife and daughter?

My name is Zhou Ling, my father's name is Zhou Jiansheng, he is from Jiangxi, he joined the (Red Army) in 1930 at the age of 14, the Red Sixth Army. After the Long March to Yan'an, after the large-scale production in Nanniwan, he went south and returned to the north to fight many times and was wounded many times. In 1948, he died in the Battle of Yongfeng in Pucheng, Shaanxi, when he was only 32 years old. In 1949, my mother (from Yan'an, Shaanxi) died and I became an orphan.

Thanks to Uncle Wang Zhen and the 359th Brigade, I survived! So I say that I am the daughter of the 359th Brigade, which is not an exaggeration at all! As long as I can remember, I lived in the revolutionary family of the Second Army Children's School (Wang Jingjing's grandmother (Wang Jiqing) used to be our principal). We were taught unity, fraternity, and mutual help! When enemy planes came to bomb us, because there were very few staff members at that time, it was all the big students who ran to the bomb shelter with the young students on their backs! Whenever I saw the movie "Ah! The Cradle" I wept! That was a true portrayal of our childhood life!

At that time, many students did not know who their parents were (their parents fought bloody battles against the enemy on the front line!) Everyone was brothers and sisters! They all had the blood of the martyrs of the 359th Brigade! Parents would come to the school to see the children during the rest of the troops, and many of the children did not know their parents anymore, and only their uncles and aunts identified them one by one. As long as he went to school to see Wang Bin (Bing), Wang Jun, and Wang Zhi's three brothers, we all ran away and hid, because when Uncle Wang was caught, he would stab us in the face with his "terrible beard," and the more we screamed, the happier he became! The 359th Brigade returned from the south to the north, and according to the instructions of the central authorities, our children of the 359th Brigade followed Peng Dehuai and Uncle Wang into Xinjiang.

My father was brought to the Red Army by Uncle Li Quan, and they were fellow villagers (from Ji'an, Jiangxi), so I don't know the specific historical history of my father. After my father's death, the organization handed me over to Principal Li Ping of the Second Army Children's School, and I always thought she was my biological mother. When she died of illness in 1953, my father's comrades-in-arms came to see me at school, only to know that my father was Zhou Jiansheng.

I also heard Uncle Li Quan (after he was transferred from Yili to the Urumqi Military Region, he took me to his house, and I called him Dad), and he said that my father was from Ji'anji, Jiangxi. In 1930, when the Red Army passed by his father's hometown, he was 14 years old and was grazing cattle for the landlord. My dad joined the Red Army with him.

I lived at Li Quan's father's house for three years before I went to college, and I regret that I didn't ask him about my father's situation in detail.

My mother's name is Wu Xiuying, a native of Heishe Village, Linzhen, Yan'an, and I don't know the specific time of her death, nor do I know where she was buried. I asked a lot of my father's old comrades-in-arms, such as: Uncle Wang Enmao, Uncle Guo Peng, Uncle Li Quan, Uncle Zuo Qi, Uncle Yang Rungui, Uncle He Jinnan, Uncle Zhong Shengshan...... , none of them know. The organization sent people to find the place where my mother was buried, but they couldn't find it. What made me most uncomfortable was that I didn't know the date of my birth!

Later, one year, Aunt Tian, the wife of Uncle Chen Zongyao, took a few children to Changsha and went to Yueyang to find Uncle Chen Chongyao's tomb. It was also that time when I met Aunt Tian, Aunt Tian asked me if I had a martyr's certificate, and I learned that there was a martyr's certificate. In 1985, it was so difficult for the two of us to apply for a martyr's certificate, and we had to ask my father to come up with a certificate of origin, the local government where my father died, and my father's former army to prove that my father was my father. Later, Zhu Shoutie's mother wrote a letter to Uncle Wang Enmao, and I took the letter to Uncle Wang Enmao. Uncle Wang Enmao approved a few sentences on that letter, and without me reminding him of a word, Uncle Wang wrote word for word my father's hometown, what year he joined the Red Army, what year, month, and day, what battle he sacrificed, and what position he held that year...... I really admire Uncle Wang Enmao's superhuman memory! When I arrived at the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Civil Affairs Department, I was able to obtain a martyr's certificate in five minutes! I am really grateful to Aunt Tian, Zhu Shoutie's mother, and Uncle Wang Enmao!

I graduated from high school in Urumqi Bayi Middle School, entered the Chongqing Seventh Military Medical University in the national college entrance examination, and worked as a military doctor all my life. In the blink of an eye, we are all grandfathers and grandmothers, why do I, who are too old, still miss my father, miss the 359 Brigade, miss my childhood, and miss Uncle Wang Zhen at this age? Because the fathers of the 359 Brigade are full of sunshine and righteousness, the 359 Brigade is a big family that gets along harmoniously and lovingly, and I love this big family!

This is just a quotation, where is Zhou Ling's father, where is his ancestor, it is still unknown to Zhou Ling, and this heart disease has been pressing on her heart for many years...

Dad, we are home|After 80 years, Zhou Ling, a descendant of martyrs, and his relatives "reunited" for the first time in Ji'an County

"Dad, we're home. On the fast-speeding G3070 high-speed rail train, Zhou Ling, a descendant of martyrs, held her husband Li Jun's hand with one hand, and hugged the small backpack in her arms with the other hand, which was her father's martyr certificate. At this moment, there is less than an hour before returning to her hometown, but at this moment, Zhou Ling has been waiting for 80 years.

A few days ago, Zhou Ling, who was far away in Guangzhou, received a phone call, and an excited voice on the other end of the phone told her: "We have found your father's birthplace, which is located in Dutang Village, Tongping Town, Ji'an County, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, and your relatives have also been found, and all the information is consistent ...... at present."

Zhou Ling, who hung up the phone, was already in tears: "Go home! Dad, I have finally found my way home, I want to go back to my hometown to see." Zhou Ling said silently in her heart.

On the eve of Qingming Festival, under the docking of the Ji'an County Veterans Affairs Bureau, Zhou Ling and her husband rushed to Ji'an County from Guangzhou, thousands of miles away, to gather with their relatives. The martyr Zhou Jiansheng, who had lost contact with his family for 94 years, finally "reunited" with his family across time and space.

The revolution starts here!

In 1930, Zhou Jiansheng, a 14-year-old cattle herder from a rural background, was herding cattle for the landlord's family, when the young Li Quan (later the founding general) stopped him and said to him:

"Let's go to the Red Army together!"

"What about the cows?

Li Quan said: "Don't worry about the landlord's cattle. ”

In this way, two enthusiastic teenagers joined the ranks of the Red Army without saying goodbye to their parents and families, and the gears of fate began to turn .......

Zhou Jiansheng joined the Red Army at that time in the Red Eighth Army, he followed the troops in the Hunan and Jiangxi revolutionary base areas to participate in the first to the fifth Soviet anti-encirclement and suppression, after the test of revolutionary struggle, in 1935 honorably joined the Communist Party of China. During the period of anti-encirclement and suppression, the Red Eighth Army was reorganized into the Red Sixth Army Corps, and later under the order of the central government, it sent an advance expedition to the west, and joined the Red Second Front Army led by He Long in Muhuang, Guizhou, and the Red Second and Sixth Army Corps established base areas in Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan and Guizhou, in response to the Central Red Army's Long March, and after the Central Red Army arrived in northern Shaanxi, they continued the Long March.

In 1937, the Red Sixth Army Corps was reorganized into the 359th Brigade of the Eighth Route Army of the National Revolutionary Army in Fuping County, northern Shaanxi, and in 1942, the 359th Brigade carried out the central order and entered Nanniwan to carry out a large-scale production campaign. The 717th Regiment was stationed in Linzhen, the 718th Regiment was stationed in Mafang, the 719th Regiment was stationed in Jiulongquan, and the four detachments and brigade headquarters were stationed in Jinpenwan.

At that time, Zhou Jiansheng was already the deputy battalion commander of the 717 Regiment, and on the way back to the camp in Yan'an, Shaanxi, because he was tired, he asked the old farmer in the local Heishe Village for a sip of water to drink, and the water was delivered by a 15-year-old girl with big eyes, named Wu Xiuying.

When Zhou Jiansheng, who was resting and preparing to leave, said goodbye to the old farmer's family, the innocent Wu Xiuying flashed a pair of smart big eyes and said to Zhou Jiansheng: "Welcome to come again......" Just this playful and warm sentence made Zhou Jiansheng completely remember the lovely girl in front of him.

Mr. and Mrs. Zhou Jiansheng and Zhou Ling

Zhou Jiansheng personally went to the front line to command the operation at the most critical juncture of the war, and was hit by the enemy's bullet in the siege battle, he was seriously wounded and could not get out of the line of fire, and finally died of excessive blood loss at the age of 32.

(The picture shows Zhou Jiansheng and his comrades-in-arms, the first one on the left is Zhou Jiansheng)

Wu Xiuying, who couldn't accept the bad news, was hit hard, she didn't believe that her husband would abandon herself and her daughter and leave, after that, she often went to the village entrance alone to wait for her husband, this year's New Year's 29, a goose feather snowy night, Wu Xiuying disappeared, she left, and never came back .......

Before Wu Xiuying left, she worked in the children's school of the head temple, Zhou Jiansheng died, Wu Xiuying was also lost, and the organization handed over Zhou Ling, who was only four or five years old, to the then principal Li Ping, who gave her a new name - Li Xiaoling, and this martyr's bloodline was left behind.

The picture shows Zhou Ling and her adoptive mother Li Ping

At that time, Li Xiaoling always thought that her biological mother was Li Ping, and it was not until 1953, after President Li Ping died of cancer, that Li Xiaoling knew that her biological father died on the battlefield, called Zhou Jiansheng, and her mother was from northern Shaanxi, named Wu Xiuying......

"My mother is from Heishe Village, Linzhen, Yan'an, I don't know the specific time of her death, I don't know where she was buried, I asked many of my father's old comrades-in-arms, but they didn't know. The organization also sent people to look for my mother, but there was no news, and the most uncomfortable thing for me was that I didn't know the date and year of my birth! Talking about this past, Zhou Ling is still stuck in her throat.

So in her world, her father is from Jishui County, Ji'an City, and there was an important clue at that time, which said that a place called Dutang was also mentioned in her father's file, but it was not determined whether it was "Bamboo Tang" or "Dutang" due to factors such as dialect (accent) and education level. She also learned through others that Zhutang Village in Jishui County was surnamed Wang, and there was no surname Zhou.

More than 60 years have passed, and there has been no progress on the search for her relatives, and just when she wants to give up, things have taken a turn for the better.

Wu Hanwu, who is also a descendant of the Red Sixth Army, saw the article of Huang Lideng in the black soil, interviewed Zhou Ling and his wife, and learned about the scattered materials collected by Zhou Lingcai.

(The picture shows Wu Hanwu and Zhou Ling talking cordially)

After exchanges, it was learned that Zhou Jiansheng was taken to participate in the revolution by General Li Quan when he was herding cattle, and General Li Quan was a native of Wanfu Town, Ji'an County, so Zhou Jiansheng's hometown should not be far from Wanfu Town......

In December 2023, Wu Hanwu walked into the Ji'an County Veterans Affairs Bureau with four important "clues", and with the attention and support of the bureau leaders, they soon contacted the veterans service stations in various townships and towns, and comprehensively investigated all the villages with the word Tang in the county, especially in the Wanfu area, and found that there is a village in Tongping Town, near Wanfu Town, called "Dutang", which gave them confidence.

By comparing the information such as the time, age, name, and incident of the second grandfather's separation recalled by Zhou Quanfang, it is basically consistent with the clues provided by Wu Lao, so far it can be confirmed that the martyr Zhou Jiansheng buried in the Yongfeng Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery in Shaanxi Province is the second grandfather who has been lost for many years in his mouth.

Dad, I'm finally home!

Zhou Ling, the daughter of the martyr, took her father's martyr's certificate home to place the heroic soul on the hero wall Author/Huang Li

On the afternoon of April 1, under the careful arrangement of the Ji'an County Veterans Affairs Bureau, the staff of the bureau, the old squad leader Wu Hanwu, Zhou Quanfang's son, grandson and others successfully received the husband and wife who rushed over from Guangzhou.

The next day, Zhou Ling and his wife, accompanied by Peng Yanqin, director of the Ji'an County Veterans Affairs Bureau, came to the old house in Dutang Village, Tongping Town.

On the other side, Zhou Quanfang's family made preparations early, firecrackers, flowers, Qingming fruit made in advance, cut fruit, and brewed tea...... All this is for this "reunion".

Reunion

"Auntie, welcome home" Zhou Changying, the old man who stood on the side of the road to greet him, is also over 70 years old this year, after seeing her aunt for the first time, she hugged Zhou Ling who had never met tightly with both hands, this is an emotional connection from the blood, needless to say, a hug is enough.

Always look out the door. She is Zhou Ling's sister-in-law. The old lady couldn't say a word when she saw Zhou Ling, but kept kissing Zhou Ling's face. The tears of the two kept falling, causing the people present to also have red eyes.

"Grandparents, I'm coming back to see you, I've been waiting for this day for too long......" In front of the ancestral tomb, Zhou Ling and his wife held flowers in their hands, carefully placed them in front of the tomb of their grandparents, and bowed deeply three times.

Early in the morning of April 3, the Ji'an County Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall invited the stele master was busy, that morning, under the joint witness of Zhou Ling and his wife, engraved with the names of 10,051 martyrs on the marble tablet, Tongping Town added a martyr's name - Zhou Jiansheng.

Zhou Ling's search for relatives ended here, but the Ji'an County Veterans Affairs Bureau never stopped looking for the relatives of the martyrs. I believe that in the "journey" of searching for relatives again and again, the martyrs who have been sleeping for a long time will usher in more "reunions".

Speech:

It's been 80 years, and there can be several 80 years in life,

This way home caused a shock on the Internet of the descendants of the Red Sixth Army, and the descendants congratulated the martyrs on their return home, and the martyr's child Zhou Ling found his hometown to recognize his ancestors.

Through WeChat interaction, Zhou Ling found her classmates in Shake Blue Kindergarten again. whereas

Wu Hanwu found his old classmate, who was the daughter of his mother's introducer to join the party!

Conclusion:

The author of the article and the second part published on the website of the Heilongjiang Agricultural Reclamation Bureau, Zuo Yunfeng, the second-generation Wu Hanwu, the Ji'an County Veterans Affairs Bureau and the Public Security Bureau, let the martyrs' souls go home and let the martyrs' daughters recognize their ancestors, which played an important role and made great contributions!

The Internet is really at stake, and the martyr's daughter Zhou Ling and her classmates are also connected.

Zhou Ling's journey home has gained family, classmates, and friendship along the way.

This is also the strength of the descendants of the generation, the fathers who love the heroes. It was the hero's fathers who brought them together.

Finding relatives for the martyrs and realizing the dreams of the martyrs' families, this Qingming allows the heroes to rest in peace and the spirit of the martyrs to be inherited!
