Chinese photographer Yang Yuanyu went abroad with his works

From April 5th to 8th, Yang Yuanyi's photography art exhibition with the theme of "Light and Shadow Imprint" was held in the "Friendship Garden" of Sydney's Chinese Garden.

More than 100 Chinese and Australian guests attended the opening ceremony, including Yu Jie, Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Sydney, Wang Shuyu, Cultural Counselor, Liu Dong, Director of the Chinese Cultural Center in Sydney, Tian Fei, President of the Australia-China People's Friendship and Exchange Association of Australia, He Shen Huixia, former Deputy Speaker of the New South Wales Parliament, Yang Yuanyu, Chairman of the International Alliance of Photography Organizations of Silk Road Countries, Lifetime Honorary Chairman of the China Art Photography Society, and Executive Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Beijing International Photography Week, Zhu Hongyu, Vice Chairman of the China Art Photography Society, and Zhao Yingxin, Artistic Director of Beijing International Photography Week.

This exhibition is supported by the Australia-China People's Friendship and Exchange Association of Australia, hosted by Yang Yuanyi Studio, and produced by Seven Media. A total of 66 works and 4 groups of humanities thematic photos were exhibited in the exhibition, which were divided into two parts: "Beauty and Beauty (Chinese Chapter)" and "Love and Peace (Foreign Chapter)", focusing on the photographic achievements of President Yang Yuanyu.

Among them, the part of "Beauty and Beauty" is a work created by Chairman Yang in China, and he has turned his incomparable love for the great rivers and mountains of the motherland into a masterpiece of scene blending with the pulse of the times with skillful techniques and the pulse of the times. The "Love and Peace" section focuses on the results of his geographical expeditions around the world, and he has traveled to 117 countries and regions, from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic, from Eurasia to North and South America. "There is great beauty in heaven and earth without words", the sense of community of human family is internalized into the true feelings in his chest, contained in his endless gaze, and revealed in his rich and changing lens.

At the opening ceremony, the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Lords of New South Wales, He Shen Huixia, and the President of the Australia-China People's Friendship and Exchange Association Tian Fei presented the honorary certificate of "China-Australia Cultural Special Contribution Award" to President Yang Yuanyi. At the same time, Chairman Yang Yuanyi presented a personal album and a piece of on-site work to the Chinese Cultural Center, and Liu Dong, Director of the Chinese Cultural Center in Sydney, accepted the donation.

President of the International Alliance of Photographic Organizations of Silk Road Countries

He is the lifelong honorary chairman of the China Art Photography Society

Executive Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Beijing International Photography Week

In 1956, he picked up a camera to photograph the activities of the agricultural sector and the older generation of revolutionaries such as Marshal Zhu De;

In 1996, he began to photograph the human and geographical landscapes of China and other parts of the world, and his photographic works have been exhibited all over the country and universities, and have been exhibited in Beijing International Photography Week, Jinan International Photography Biennale, Lianzhou International Photography Annual Exhibition, and Dali International Photography Festival.

In November 2010, he won the Lifetime Contribution Award and the PPA International Photography Special Honor Award in the "Image Asia - Qilu International Photography Week";

In July 2011, "Global Shadow" - Yang Yuanyi Photography Exhibition was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and all the proceeds from the exhibition were donated to the Autism Society of Malaysia, and in 2011, he won the "Goldfinch Award" at the Dali International Film Festival.

In September 2015, he held a solo exhibition on the theme of "World in the Mirror" in Serbia;

In March 2017, he personally donated two works to the collection of former U.S. President Jimmy Carter;

In 2019, the "Silk Road Style Photography Exhibition" toured in Guangdong and Shandong;

In 2021, he was awarded the honorary title of "Messenger of Peace" in the 33rd International Science and Peace Week;

Over the years, he has published many photo collections such as "The World of Light and Shadow, Intellectual Life", "Harnessing the Light of China, Chasing the World of Shadows", "The World of Shadows", "Selected Photographs of Yang Yuanyu's Photographic Artworks" and "Shadows", and many of his photographic works have been collected by museums, art galleries and libraries at home and abroad.
