Tonight, when the wife mentioned her daughter's graduate school years, there was a subtle emotion in her voice. My mind drifted back to that time, that time of challenge and hope.
I remember that when my daughter first entered college, she was still a young freshman. However, at that time in 2019, her heart experienced huge fluctuations. She once felt lost and hopeless, and even revealed the idea of suicide. At that moment, our hearts were deeply touched, and we rushed to her side desperately, just to give her a warm hug.
At that time, she was facing academic pressure and confusion about her self-worth. She studied vocal music, but she always felt that she didn't sing well enough, and after being criticized by her teacher, she fell into the quagmire of self-denial. She began to get tired of singing and even lost her zest for life. However, it was that difficult time that sharpened her will and made her more determined to her dream.
In her third year of college, she made a brave decision to go to graduate school and change her major. It was a big challenge for us, but we chose to fully support her. We accompanied her everywhere to find the right class to apply for, and despite the worries and uneasiness in our hearts, we always believed in her abilities.
During that time, my daughter put in unprecedented efforts. She studied without sleep or food, just to realize her dreams. We looked at her thinning figure, and our hearts were both distressed and relieved. Finally, after a long wait, she was admitted to graduate school with an excellent score of 430 points, and ranked first in the province. At that moment, our hearts were filled with joy and pride.
Since the start of her graduate career, her daughter has shown her talent and leadership. Not only was she elected class president, but she also became a lecturer at a teaching institution. With her efforts and talents, she has won the respect and recognition of others.
Looking back on those days now, we are very fortunate and proud. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful daughter and proud that she was able to bravely pursue her dreams and succeed.
