Between June and July 2023, in order to earn commissions and obtain illegal benefits, defendant Wei provided his bank card to others to provide assistance in transferring funds, paying and settling, and withdrawing cash, even though he knew that others were using information networks to commit crimes. After investigation, Wei's bank card lent a total of more than 680,000 yuan for others, of which 59,000 yuan was verified to be fraudulent funds, and Wei made a profit of 500 yuan.
After trial, the Xiangyun Court held that the defendant Wei's behavior had constituted the crime of aiding information network criminal activities, and sentenced him to 7 months in prison and a fine of 5,000 yuan in accordance with the law.
