The Denza N7, which was launched in July last year, was priced at 301,800-379,800 yuan, but in the face of continuous involution and rounds of price wars, the Denza N7 also showed its attitude.

The most obvious is the addition of a small battery version of 71.8 kWh, with a range of 550 km, while the power of the motor has been reduced from 313 hp to 231 hp, thus lowering the price threshold to 239,800.
In addition, the rear-wheel drive Air entry-level version of the old N7 has been cut, and the 702-kilometer rear-wheel drive version of the new N7 only retains a relatively high configuration.
Adding a small battery entry-level version, cutting down the low-profile with low sales, and lowering the overall price are the main adjustments to the 2024 Denza N7. In terms of products, in addition to the adjustment of the appearance of the new N7, it is basically the optimization of the functional configuration.

1. Optimize the appearance and change the detail slots
When the DENZA N7 was first launched, the "mustache" light strip on the front face was a very recognizable feature, but the consumer acceptance was not high. Although there are no changes in the size and overall shape of this facelift, the "mustache" design has been canceled, and the front face is much simpler. Coupled with the addition of the West Blue colorway, it may broaden its audience.

The new N7 uses BYD's new DiLink system, the operation experience and functions have been improved, and the official model of the chip has not been announced, only claiming to use an advanced chip with a 6nm process, and the performance is expected to be close to that of Snapdragon 8155.
In terms of daily use, the function and fluency of human-computer interaction of the Denza N7 have basically reached the level of the first echelon, and the new N7 also adds a 7-inch LCD screen on the rear center armrest, in addition to the top configuration, the rest of the configuration can also be optional.
3. The suspension system is further upgraded
In terms of suspension, the old Denza N7 has two versions, Yunlin-C (electromagnetic suspension) and Yunlin-A (electromagnetic + air suspension), which are equipped with the long-range performance version and the ultra-long-range version respectively.
On the new N7, the Yunlin-C electromagnetic suspension has become the standard, and the configuration threshold of the Yunlin-A is still high, and it will not appear until the 289,800 four-wheel drive Max version, but the air suspension has been upgraded from the old single-chamber to a double-chamber structure, which better takes into account handling and comfort.
4. The intelligent driving system was upgraded and the first camp began to be called
The intelligent driving system of the old N7 is not the main selling point, and at the new N7 press conference, BYD has announced that its intelligent driving function has entered the first echelon, and the high-speed intelligent driving system has achieved standard configuration for the whole series.
In fact, the old N7 LiDAR all series need to be optional, the new N7 is directly equipped on the top Ultra version, and the remaining three configurations can be optional. Even if LiDAR is not optional, the number of cameras of the new N7 has increased from 5 to 13 in the old model, and the front perception camera has been upgraded from monocular to binocular to control the road environment more accurately.
At the press conference, DENZA demonstrated the ability of the new N7 to handle some complex road conditions, which is indeed significantly improved compared with the old model. However, high-speed NOA intelligent driving currently only covers more than 40 cities, and it is expected to expand to the whole country in the fourth quarter, and although urban intelligent driving has appeared on the configuration list, it is expected to wait until the end of the year at the earliest.
5. The general configuration is fully upgraded
There are a lot of upgrades to the new N7, especially in some very detailed, but very affecting the use of the configuration, such as the electric adjustment of the steering wheel, the old model is optional for the whole system, and the new model is standard for all systems;
The old wireless charging is low-power slow charging, and the new model is upgraded to 50W wireless fast charging, and it is a rare dual 50W fast charging in the same class;
The old model only has a heating function in the rear row, and the new top configuration also gives ventilation and massage in the rear row, while the middle and low configuration also supports options;
The old rear backrest can only be adjusted manually, and the new top configuration supports electric adjustment;
The 16-speaker Devialet brand audio is still standard on the new N7, but the Dolby Atmos has been upgraded to further improve the sound effect.
The above are the main features of the new Denza N7, while the overall price range is lowered, the comprehensive product power is indeed much higher than the old model, so how competitive is it in the market?
The advantages are obvious, but there are also disadvantages
Compared with competing products, the Denza N7 has two main shortcomings, one is that although it is equipped with a dual-gun fast charging function, it still does not have an advantage in charging speed compared with competing products such as Xpeng G9 and Zhiji LS6.
The charging power of the 3C version of the Xpeng G9 is about 300kW, the Zhiji LS6 can even reach 396kW, and the dual-gun fast charging of the Denza N7 can only reach about 230kW.
In addition, even after the price of the new model is significantly reduced, the price advantage is still not obvious compared to the Zhiji LS6 and others. Of course, Denza's positioning of the N7 has luxury attributes, and it is a bit biased to compare the price of the same battery life and the same level. For example, in terms of materials used in the car, the new N7 has a large amount of leather and suede wrapping, equipped with a 50-inch large AR-HUD display, equipped with dual-cavity air suspension, and is also a model with less rear ventilation and massage functions in the same class.
If the DENZA brand is recognized, the new N7, which makes up for the main shortcomings, already has strong enough product power.
In addition, it is worth mentioning that BYD Song L, which is regarded as a cheap version of Denza N7, has the same battery life and the same configuration, the price is about 50,000 yuan lower than the new N7, except that there is no air suspension, lidar, high-end intelligent driving and other configurations, Song L's product attributes are very similar to the new N7.
