Today, on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the China Academy of Art, the school's 2024 "Gome Release" released five major contents: the creation and research project of "Gome Centennial Masters", the Gome Yangtze River Delta Art Action, and the establishment of the AI Center, the Beautiful China Image Center, and the Art Synaesthesia Research Center.
In the 96-year history of the China Academy of Art, there have been many famous teachers, bringing together a large number of artistic talents representing the highest achievements of Chinese art, such as Lin Fengmian, Pan Tianshou, Huang Binhong, Fu Baoshi, etc., and cultivating several generations of art masters such as Li Keran, Wu Guanzhong, and Zao Wou-ki. Starting from 2023, the China Academy of Art will officially launch the "Centennial Masters" creation and research project until its centenary in 2028. The "Centennial Masters of Gome" creation and research project will create statues of famous masters and masters, through a statue that embodies the respect for their ancestors and the pursuit of art, so that their images can be integrated with the landscape campus of Gome, and the profound historical and cultural connotation of Gome will be conveyed. At the same time, commemorative exhibitions and seminars are held for famous masters and masters. Through representative works, exhibitions of precious documents and in-depth academic discussions, their artistic achievements and personality are presented.
Today, the China Academy of Art released the "Gome Yangtze River Delta Art Action". This year, the China Academy of Art will cooperate with a number of cultural and art venues in Shanghai to hold activities such as the "Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Art Exhibition" and the "China Academy of Art Chinese Painting Exhibition". At the same time, the China Academy of Art will join hands with Shanghai to hold the Yangtze River Delta Global Design and Creative Community Action, revitalizing the existing industrial relics, historical districts and other spaces to create a creative community with international standards.
In addition, the China Academy of Art will carry out the Zhangjiang Campus Improvement Action. In the future, the China Academy of Art will devote itself to the forefront of the major national strategy of "Yangtze River Delta Integration", build an experimental field for culture and art, innovative design, and advanced manufacturing to empower a digital and intelligent society, form an innovative consortium of art, science and technology, and industry cross-border integration, and transform the imagination and creativity of art and design into new productive forces that take root, so that Shanghai and China Academy of Art will be "famous schools and big cities, and complement each other".
In addition, the establishment of the AI Center, the Beautiful China Image Center, and the Art Synaesthesia Research Center was announced. "Today's GOME release is wonderful, including the research and creation project of sorting out the cultural context of the college and shaping the century-old master, as well as the artistic action for the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta, and the future exploration of two AI interactive developments. Gao Shiming, president of the China Academy of Art, said that here, we are pinning our hopes on the "classic learning" of a century-old famous school, and also feel the "promising learning" that takes root in the land of China and helps beautiful China, and also sees a kind of "creation learning" that is cross-border and connected.
