The students were inspired by the school's scientific and technological innovation activities, using waste materials to create handmade works. Through research, students found that string instruments are an important branch of the instrument family, and in classical music and even modern music, almost all lyrical melodies are played by string parts. It can be seen that softness and beauty are the common characteristics of all stringed instruments. The timbre of the stringed instruments is unified and multi-layered: it is passionate when played in an ensemble, gentle and graceful when played solo, and it has a dynamic color because of the rich and varied bow patterns (trembling, breaking, plucking, jumping, etc.). However, traditional stringed instruments generally have only one resonance box, which only uses the vibration of one end of the string, and the sound is small and not strong stereo. In order to overcome the above-mentioned defects of the prior art, under the guidance of the teacher, Deng Zhiyou, Ou Yanghe and other 6 students jointly participated in the invention of "a portable musical instrument structure", and the utility model provides a double resonance box multi-stringed instrument to solve the problems existing in the above-mentioned background art.

Deng Zhiyou, one of the inventors, said: In this process, I understood: 1. In 2022, under the guidance of Zhou Zhihua, a teacher from Zigong Jiaxiang Science and Technology Innovation Center, and Professor Lan Jiming, director of the Computer Basic Education Center of Sichuan University of Light Chemical Technology, Lan Jingyuan and Lin Yuneng, who participated in the design and invention of "a long-distance parking space control device" in the 2020 class, were authorized by the State Patent Office for utility model patents. The "Python-based Data Comparison System" designed by 5 students including Liu Ziyuan and Ou Yanghe of the 2021 class won the computer software copyright registration certificate of the National Copyright Administration of the People's Republic of China.
