Problem Description:
1. The host cannot ping the virtual machine.
2. The virtual machine cannot ping the host.
Problem analysis
Firewall issues
Because the firewall of the VM is not disabled, the host cannot ping the VM, and the VM cannot ping the host. After the blogger turned off the firewall of the virtual machine, the host still could not ping, which was said later to solve the problem.
(The virtual machine can turn off the firewall by itself, so I won't repeat it here, but the main operation is the following)
The firewall of the host is turned off.,I think it's too dangerous.,So set to allow apps to pass through.,You can open the Windows Security Center in the settings.。
Click on this to allow applications through the firewall, click on Change Settings, then find VMware Authd Service to check both public and private, then click on Allow other applications, open the folder, find the place where you installed VMware yourself, select VMware.exe OK, and then check both public and private. Then OK, exit
Then it turns out that the VM can ping the host. (The network of the virtual machine is in NAT mode.)
Problems with network settings
Open the virtual machine network editor
Set up the virtual machine network editor
Note that the CIDR block is the same as the CIDR block where the host is located.
Set up a virtual machine network
The network settings for the virtual machine are as follows:
