He has been interested in landscape gardens since he was a child
Landscape is a very broad discipline
Q: Why did you become interested in landscape architecture in the first place?
A: First of all, because both of my parents worked in the construction industry, and at the same time, because I was curious about the construction of the Grand View Garden when I read "Dream of Red Mansions" in high school, I became interested in gardens. Moreover, learning landscape is equivalent to getting in touch with some of the architecture and planning studies, which is very integrated, and I like the process of learning botany.
Q: Has there been any change in my opinion about this major after in-depth study?
A: Before studying landscape, I always regarded landscape as more of gardening, but later I found that landscape is a very comprehensive discipline that involves a wide range of subjects. But I'm well aware that I prefer to know the breadth of things rather than delve into specific directions.
Q: What are the core motivations for studying abroad, and why did you choose the Landscape Program?
A: I want to increase my job opportunities by studying for a master's degree, but because I don't like the atmosphere of domestic examination competition, I think that the development of the domestic landscape industry is stagnant and backward, and I want to go abroad for further study. I continued to choose landscape architecture because it coincided with my goal of "learning a little bit about everything" and provided me with many opportunities to collaborate with other majors.
Q: Do you have any career plans after graduation?
A: After graduation, I plan to work in Singapore for three years, and then travel all over the world to change environments because I like to travel.

The theme of my essay is to explore the role of landscape and planning in the relationship between people and activities. Regarding writing strategies, I have a few points to share with students: 1. Pay attention to your own experience and learning process 2. Explore your personal uniqueness 3. Focus on Why school, carefully study the school's official website and customize the PS content to avoid homogenization of essays!
2021/11 Started to learn IELTS
2023/05 1st Puya Exam 6.5(6)
2023/10 The second IELTS UKVI test 6.5 (5.5) hahaha is even worse
The process of learning English again was still very painful, I found it difficult to concentrate during the first process of doing the questions, at the same time, the busy school work made me want to give up from time to time, and I especially hated memorizing words, I was a lazy person. After learning or brushing the questions, you must hurry up to take the test, don't delay! Then you must find a learning partner to practice speaking with you hahahahaha!

About my portfolio
Focus on contradictions and relationships
Design with events as a starting point
Q: What is the most sensitive point of each design, where do you start, and how do you develop it?
A: I like to focus on contradictions and relationships, and most of my portfolios are based on events, looking for problems from the perspective of people and activities, and then starting to collect data based on the problems and look for relevant papers for research. In addition, in the process of making a portfolio, the first thing is to think outside the school curriculum, be sure to communicate more with the instructor, and at the same time express your own views in a timely manner, and don't blindly follow the teacher's thinking.
Q: Do you have a different set of ideas about design, what do you think, and why do you think so?
A: As I mentioned earlier, I mostly start my portfolio from the perspective of events or a certain problem, and like to study the relationship and contradiction between things, especially between people and activities.
Q: Are there any exchanges, internships, exhibitions, building activities that would be helpful for your application?
A: I especially like the process of construction and workshop! I met a lot of interesting friends during the construction process, and I learned about the local terroir and practical knowledge of construction, and the workshop has greatly improved my drawing speed and Rhino ability, especially Grasshopper; At the same time, the explanation of the teacher and the professor is very detailed, the professor is very patient, the explanation is very dry, of course, the most direct thing is that my speaking ability has been greatly improved, so that I am not so panicked in the follow-up school interview.
Q: Are there any tips for making a portfolio?
A: Be sure to communicate with the supervisor more, project planning is very important!!
Pay attention to the circle of friends of the good old season, and have a lot of dry goods skills and use the website!!
In the later stage, you can communicate with technical teachers to make appointments, which will be more efficient and targeted!
▎ Portfolio project introduction
项目1名称:A LANDFILL REBORN FROM THE ASHES
Designed by: Personal project
Instructor: Ms. Qingyi
Introduction:
Environmental improvements to the Balswa landfill in New Delhi while the pollution of environmental water sources has exacerbated the problem of spontaneous waste combustion due to the waste from the landfill, coupled with worsening heat waves and prevailing summer monsoons, adversely affecting slum dwellers. To alleviate this, I built a waste management chain, improved surface runoff management, and restructured homes and transportation to focus on environmental protection and public safety.
项目2名称:WETLAND BANDAGE
Designed by: Personal project
Instructor: Zikun (Supervisor)
Introduction:
On the Oakland, California, Coastal Project, I looked at flood patterns in the Oakland region over the years and conducted a deeper integration and study of flood risk levels and frequencies in the region to identify the main causes of flooding. Through a detailed study of the internal website, combining multiple elements such as traffic and the movement of people, I identified overlapping and safe areas of activity, from the perspective of human use, through a variety of means to control rainwater and strengthen the protection of the lives and property of the surrounding residents.
♯ Thank.
First of all, of course, my supervisor Mr. Zikun! For people like me, who often have great emotional fluctuations, it is really important to have a supervisor who is very emotionally stable, and at the same time, can actively cooperate with me to change the direction of design~
And then there is the beautiful and handsome teacher Qingyi, when I, a P person, can always use his rigorous way of thinking to correct it, and then insist that I revise and improve it many times.
Of course, I would also like to thank the technical teachers who have helped me a lot, especially Mr. Jingyao, who is full of dry goods hahahaha. I would also like to thank my application teacher, Laurel Yu, and the essay teacher for accommodating my procrastination and pushing me to push forward
In the end, I felt very fortunate to have met my friends who had been with me as I went crazy and helped me when I was threatened with both my school work and my portfolio!!!
