Recently, two police officers from the Beizhai Court of the Laoshan District Court came to the Beizhai Street with the national emblem on their backs and the file on their backs, and set up a "temporary court" under the cherry blossom trees. After everything was ready, a divorce dispute involving a villager in Beizhai Street was tried here.
Plaintiff Xiao Zhang (pseudonym) and defendant Xiao Wang (pseudonym) registered their marriage in 2014 and gave birth to a daughter the following year. Married life should be happy and sweet, but due to the lack of effective communication between the two parties, there are contradictions and estrangements. In March 2024, Xiao Zhang sued the Laoshan District Court on the grounds that the relationship between the husband and wife had indeed broken down and they could no longer live together, requesting the dissolution of the marriage between the parties. After many times of communication with both parties, the presiding judge found that there was no irreconcilable contradiction between the two, and a large part of the reason for suing for divorce was due to lack of communication and mutual incomprehension of each other. In order to allow the two parties to open their hearts and communicate effectively, the judge believed that if the court venue could be set up outside the solemn courtroom, it would be more conducive to mediation work and repair the marriage of both parties.
At the scene of the trial, the two sides sometimes blamed and complained to each other, and sometimes bowed their heads and remained silent, in order to avoid the escalation of the conflict, the judge adjourned the court for mediation after obtaining the consent of both parties. Subsequently, the judge patiently guided the two to recall the good times spent under the cherry blossom trees together, and persuaded them that their marriage is not child's play, and only by adhering to their original intentions and tolerating and understanding each other can they manage their marriage well and care for the healthy growth of their children. Under the efforts of the judge, both parties recognized their own problems and were willing to give this marriage a chance to repair, the husband and wife broke into tears and hugged each other again, Xiao Zhang withdrew the lawsuit in court, and the dispute also came to a successful end.
The cherry blossoms reflect the national emblem, and the world has a good "maple" scene in April. Although the small "temporary court" is simple, it is full of great feelings for the people and makes the local people feel that the judiciary has both strength and warmth.
After the trial, the judges of the Laoshan District Court also went into the village to carry out legal popularization activities, through household visits and rule of law publicity, so that more families can understand the law, learn the law, and abide by the law, and strive to promote the formation of a good rule of law atmosphere in which the whole people know, abide by and use the law.
