Located in the Lishuiwan Ecological Agriculture Headquarters and Deep-water Barrel Cultivation Industrial Park in Gonghe Village, Huayuan Street, Xinjin, 400,000 largemouth bass were put into floating ecological barrels to start a period of 5-6 months of breeding, which is expected to be listed in September, with an output of about 400,000 catties and an output value of 6 million yuan.

This is the first phase of the project. The largemouth bass fingerlings have been selected and cultivated, virus-free, and have the characteristics of "high resistance" such as strong antibacterial and disease resistance, and the fry grow fast and have good bar shape. The total investment of the Lishuiwan Ecological Agriculture Headquarters and Deep-water Barrel Cultivation Industrial Park project is 200 million yuan, which is divided into three phases of construction. After the completion of the whole project, the core area of the park can achieve an annual output of 8.2 million catties of aquatic products, an output value of about 123 million yuan, an annual output of 100 million seedlings, and an output value of about 120 million yuan. The second and third phases will also build Huang Lading seedlings, ecological three-dimensional planting and breeding, and comprehensive tourism development.

Xinjin can become the "new home" of the first batch of 400,000 fish fry, thanks to the high-quality natural environment here - abundant water with good water quality and suitable temperature. "We selected many places in Sichuan and finally decided on Shinjin as our headquarters and breeding garden. The relevant person in charge of the project said that the five rivers of Xinjin converge and are rich in water resources, and the water sources at the project site are mostly underground seepage, and the water quality is good. The climate has the characteristics of "no severe cold in winter, no scorching heat in summer", belongs to the subtropical monsoon humid climate, long frost-free period, abundant rainfall, four distinct seasons, and the water temperature is about 19 degrees Celsius all year round, which is suitable for the growth of sea bass.
The "living environment" of these 400,000 fish fry is good, not only thanks to the natural environment, but also empowered by new technologies. Different from traditional soil pond culture and cage culture, the project adopts the patented technology of "floating ecological bucket culture".
Floating eco-buckets
The technology uses a single barrel to form a breeding unit, and the fry of different species and different specifications are independently cultivated in barrels, which is not only convenient for salvage, but also makes feeding, disease prevention and control, and management more accurate and scientific, and maximizes the survival rate of aquaculture. There is a small hole in the upper part of the ecological bucket for water exchange, which forms a gentle impact force during the water exchange process, helping the fish to "fitness" and enhancing the firmness of the fish's meat. The bottom of the eco-bucket is cone-shaped, which makes it easy to concentrate fish manure and suck it out through the bottom. The sucked manure and other dirt will be centrally treated and recycled in the tailwater collection area on the shore, with a recovery efficiency of more than 90%, which can be used as organic fertilizer, which solves the problem of water pollution in traditional cage aquaculture.
In addition to the natural environment, the implementation of the project is also an industrial opportunity. "We also learned that 60% of the sea bass consumed in the Sichuan market every year is imported from other places, which shows that the market is vast. Therefore, we mainly breed largemouth bass. The person in charge said that the Xinjin base also breeds different species of fish such as red-eyed silver cod, cochineal, river group, spotted mandarin fish, and mandarin fish to meet the various needs of the market.
