For more than half a century, the African continent has been calm, but in the last decade or so, everything has not gone right, and large areas of Africa have suddenly cracked many cracks, which has caused the outside world to pay more attention in an instant.
Satellite monitoring has reportedly shown that four massifs in the Afar Rift Belt, located in northeastern Africa, are gradually detaching in all directions. The region, known as the "Fractured Land", runs through Ethiopia, Djibouti, Eritrea and other countries, and parts of it is a World Heritage Site.
It is also best known for the discovery of the oldest human fossil to date, Afar Australopithecus, which provides an important reference for the historical evolution of mankind.
The unique geographical location of this land has attracted the attention of scientists, as it is a place where a new world is about to be born. At present, the earth's crust is very active, and some scientists predict that in about 5 million to 100 million years, the eastern part of Ethiopia will form a continental crust and a sea basin, it will become a huge rift valley, and new seas will come at the right time, and this will become the new ocean that will be born in the future, and this place will become the first place in the world to connect the sea and the land.
At that point, it will completely change the appearance of the continent, not only because it will become a continent, but most importantly, it will change the face of Africa, it will separate the places north of the Sahara from the continent, and the continent will end a single pattern, and from this moment on, the African plate will eventually split into two large pieces.
It has also made Africa richer, with a new sea that means more abundant fisheries, and in the future it may also form a new canal to facilitate transportation here, and most importantly, this place will become a new seabed hydrothermal vent area that will provide us with abundant resources.

Although the hydrothermal vent area has not yet appeared, scientists are using existing knowledge and technology to believe that it will soon be better for the better. In fact, as early as 2005, there were signs of division in this place, and a continent called Claffert appeared in a sci-fi way.
At that time, a volcanic eruption occurred here, and a crack more than 60 meters long appeared here, which is slowly expanding every day, leaving scientists with high hopes for future development. The development of this place has also allowed scientists to do more detailed studies of the Earth.

The theory of earth drift first appeared in 1912, and the scientist Alfred Wegener found that on the world map at that time, the geographical environment of the South American continent, the African continent, Antarctica and other regions had striking similarities with the fossils of Paleozoic plants.
At this time, Wegener introduced the hypothesis of "continental drift", he believed that the continental plates on the earth's surface could be moved, that is, the South American continent did not always exist, it was originally a whole, and later it was separated from the African continent due to geological movements. Wegener's hypothesis was not well received at the time, but with the development of technology, more evidence was gradually discovered.
We know that the earth is in a constantly changing world, and it shows us its beauty and wonder in its own way, which we may not have noticed, but the earth is changing so often. Changes in the earth are insignificant to humans, but from a geological point of view, every change in the earth's surface is essential.
