The three practices of flooring are all summarized: wear-resistant, epoxy, and cured!

author:Architectural engineering information

There are generally three common practices for underground garages and industrial plant floors: epoxy floors, wear-resistant floors, and cured floors. Epoxy floor belongs to the resin overall surface layer, wear-resistant floor and cured floor belong to the cement overall surface layer, how to choose the three methods?

Curing floors

1. Epoxy flooring

Epoxy flooring is also known as epoxy flooring, epoxy flooring, epoxy flooring. Epoxy resin floor is composed of high-performance epoxy resin main agent and curing agent, with special machinery and auxiliary materials, and formed by professional construction personnel on-site construction of a colorful, overall seamless industrial floor.

  • merit

1. The whole is seamless, completely dust-free, easy to clean, and can meet the requirements of high cleanliness;

2. The color can be arbitrarily selected and matched, and the aesthetics are excellent;

3. Waterproof, mildew-proof and impermeable;

4. Highly wear-resistant, walkable heavy vehicles, with good toughness, no delamination and no cracking when impacted;

5. It is firmly bonded with the base layer (concrete, ceramic tile, metal, etc.), and under the premise of construction quality assurance, it does not delaminate or crack;

6. Resistant to a certain degree of chemical corrosion.

  • shortcoming

1. It cannot resist heavy underground moisture;

2. Poor scratch resistance;

3. Poor high temperature resistance;

4, weather resistance difference;

5. The service life is not high.

2. Wear-resistant flooring

Abrasion-resistant flooring materials are factory-ready-mixed, on-site, dry-sprinkled floor hardeners. It is mainly composed of high-strength cement, inorganic wear-resistant aggregate, pigment powder (cement primary color is none), additives, etc. The aggregate is sandy, with an average particle size of 1.5mm, accounting for about 60% of the total, and the cement is treated high-grade cement, which is available in red, yellow, green, gray and other colors in addition to the natural color of cement. The composition of the hardener aggregate is natural ore, which is a non-rusty non-metallic aggregate with a hardness of more than 8 degrees on the Mohs scale. In addition to natural ore aggregates, the weight of other cement, pigments, etc. shall not exceed 25% of the total weight. The surface of concrete or cement mortar directly applied in the initial setting stage is smoothed to form a layer of hard, wear-resistant, dust-free and beautiful hardened floor.

  • merit

1. The color is optional, the surface is dense, not easy to dust, and easy to clean;

2. It is a good substitute for traditional industrial ground terrazzo;

3. Synchronous construction with concrete, which can be quickly put into use;

4. Low cost, high cost performance and long service life;

5. Good wear resistance, impact resistance and compression resistance.

  • shortcoming

1. Color selection has certain limitations;

2. Some low-quality colored (such as green) wear-resistant floors will fade in a short time;

3. The color of the wear-resistant floor cannot be as pure and saturated as the epoxy floor;

4. Poor permeability resistance;

5. It cannot resist the corrosion of chemicals;

6. The surface finish is far less than that of epoxy flooring;

7. With the passage of time, the surface of the product has weathering, and the service life is generally 5-8 years, and the short service life is 2-3 years.

3. Curing the floor

Concrete sealing curing agent is a colorless transparent liquid, odorless, non-toxic, non-flammable, strong penetration, does not contain VOC (volatile organic compounds) components, and is composed of inorganics, chemical organisms, and silicides. The concrete sealing curing agent enters the inside of the concrete through penetration, and after forming a gel, it can harden and seal the concrete without dust or sand. Due to its ability to penetrate the concrete surface and blend in with the concrete matrix, it is effective in long-lasting hardening and sealing. The effect is more than 20 years, so it will also play a role in preventing weathering. It is suitable for new and old concrete, terrazzo, aggregate wear-resistant floor, cement mortar surface, gypsum and other building materials with cement as the substrate.

  • Scope of application

1. All concrete floors with wear-resistant, dust-free, increased strength, impermeability, durability and easy-to-clean requirements can be used;

2. It can be used in places that are not corroded by acid and alkali for a long time;

3. It can be used for lightweight concrete floor;

4. It can be used for coarse polished concrete floors that provide friction resistance by brushing or machine grinding in parking lots;

5. Suitable for wear-resistant aggregate concrete floor;

6. Suitable for fiber reinforced concrete floor;

7. It is suitable for concrete ground of aggregate dyeing system.

  • Exclusions

1. It is not recommended to use it alone in a long-term acid environment;

2. It is not recommended to use light blocks or other stone structures with too large or too many holes;

3. It is not recommended to use it in places that have been treated with colored acrylic acid coloring or epoxy and other coverings;

4. Marble, ceramic, glass, metal and other surfaces are not recommended.
