The 76ers faced the Grizzlies, 116-96, and won four in a row. Throughout the game, Embiid was 9-of-13 from the field and 10-of-13 from the free-throw line to finish with 30 points and 12 rebounds. It is worth mentioning that Embiid returned to 3 games and made a total of 30 free throws, becoming the only player in the league, the other being Brunson, who is another player who has made 30+ free throws since April.
The 76ers led 28-23 in the first quarter, and importantly, Embiid looked close to finding his best form after his return. As soon as the second quarter came up, he hit consecutive jump shots, which were quite silky. Subsequently, the big hat was sent, and the 76ers counterattacked quickly.
Teammates stepped up and Lowry hit a three-pointer to give the 76ers a 13-point lead. Maxey hit a jumper and Oubre made a layup. Embiid returned to the court, hit a jumper as soon as he came up, followed by a three-pointer and a layup.
After the first half, Embiid played 17 minutes and made 7 of 10 shots, 2 of 2 three-pointers, and 6 of 6 free throws to get 22 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block, but there were as many as 7 turnovers and a plus/minus of +21. The 76ers led the Grizzlies 62-42 at halftime.
Coming back in the second half, the Grizzlies narrowed the gap in the third quarter, at one point chasing only 11 points. Oubre hit a three-pointer and Martin made a fast-break layup to give the 76ers an 86-70 lead at the end of the third quarter. Embiid clocked in in the fourth quarter, and the 76ers sent a bench lineup early, and the game went into garbage time early.
