Xue Ji (649-713), the character heir. Tang Dynasty minister, calligrapher and painter. Xue Ji was born as a scholar in the Wuzhou period, transferred to the middle school, and moved to the doctor and the bachelor of the Zhaowen Pavilion. In the second year of Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty (713), Princess Taiping conspired with Prime Minister Dou Huaizhen and other important ministers to conspire a coup d'état, and Xue Ji was given to death in Wannian County Prison at the age of 65 because he did not report it. He works in calligraphy, and Chu Suiliang, Ouyang Xun and Yu Shinan are listed as the "Four Great Calligraphers of the Early Tang Dynasty", and his representative work is "Xinxing Zen Master Tablet". Good at painting, good at figures, Buddha statues, trees and stones, flowers and birds, good at painting cranes, there are "pecking moss crane picture" and other works handed down.
