Three tributes to "Eighteen Lessons".

author:Read Time Magazine

During the Spring Festival of Jiachen year, I was busy and finished reading Mr. Liu Yishan's new work "Eighteen Lessons". This work is a collection of some of the contents of Mr. Liu Yishan's humanities lecture series at Wuhan East Lake University, covering literature, history, culture, reading, life and other contents. From his own experience as an editor and writer, he recounted his many experiences, insights and experiences in research, reading, creation, social research and life experience. This kind of experience, insight and experience is unique and novel, but it is also simple and kind, and the sharing of the story has benefited the readers a lot, like drinking a sweet spring, and they are deeply inspired. Closing the book, I remembered Mr. Mu Xin's "Literary Memoirs" and also remembered Confucius's "Analects". In my opinion, "Eighteen Lessons" not only conveys the doorway of writing, but also solves many puzzles for readers and finds the answers they want. This may be another merit of a good book. I have three tributes to this work.

Three tributes to "Eighteen Lessons".

Liu Yishan

The first is to pay tribute to Mr. Liu Yishan's conscience writing. Good works don't be branded with the label of the times. Looking at Mr. Liu Yishan's series of works, whether it is his early poem "The Mountain Village I Remember" or "China, the Story of a Veteran" written in recent years, they all write from the height of "the people". In Mr. Liu Yishan's own words: "When I write, I have a conscience and a conscience, thinking that my works should be useful to mankind and the world, although they cannot be great works, they must be useful and beneficial." "With such a humble starting point, the work written can travel through the years and resonate with countless unfamiliar readers. In the summer of 2019, our Zhijiang Writers Association held a reading in Weimin Garden, and a little girl in kindergarten took the stage to recite "We Count the Stars on the Grass". The little girl's immature voice and her soft Mandarin bring the artistic conception of poetry to the audience, bring them to a romantic and warm evening, and also bring us back to an unforgettable childhood. I knew that the author of this poem was Mr. Liu Yishan, and when the little girl finished her performance, I walked up to her and asked her why she chose this poem. The little girl said that her mother had chosen it for her, and that her mother liked the poem. I asked the little girl's mother if she knew the author, Mr. Liu Yishan? The young mother replied that she didn't know because she had read the poem in a journal and copied it in her notebook. She often uses this poem to inspire her daughter's imagination, and invisibly roots the beauty expressed in this poem in her daughter's childhood. "The peach and plum do not speak, and the next is its own. "Authors and readers are separated by a distant distance in time and space, but because of their works, their hearts are so close that people have to sigh at the magic and charm of literature. "Wine is afraid of mixing with water, and poetry is afraid of not being refined. This is a sentence from Mr. Xu Chi in his letter to Mr. Liu Yishan, which should be a good reminder for some of the "Cloud School" poets now. If you want to write poems that readers can remember and pass on, Mr. Liu Yishan has set an example.

Three tributes to "Eighteen Lessons".

The second is to pay tribute to Mr. Liu Yishan's virtue of educating people. Mr. Liu Yishan's mission and love as an editor in the fourth class not only resonated with me, but also made people deeply admire. He said: "We are socialist newspaper and book editors, and in addition to the principles of the party's publications, we must also be clear about our mission. "I think this mission is to cultivate a large number of excellent writers. During Mr. Liu Yishan's tenure as the editor-in-chief of "Yangtze River Literature and Art", some of the writers he cultivated won the Mao Dun Literature Award and some won the Lu Xun Literature Award. Someone used an analogy to say that if the author's smile when he won the award was "monk's laughter", then the editor's laughter was "Buddha's laughter". Without the careful introduction of the editor, it is difficult for good works to be presented in publications. In this way, the editor is a step ahead. But Mr. Liu Yishan said in this class: "Authors are willing to submit manuscripts to you because they trust you, so editors should have a sense of cherishing all manuscripts. To be sure, there are a large number of waste products that are difficult to select, but the editor still has to read these manuscripts carefully, thinking that this is written by the author painstakingly and is the fruit of other people's labor, first of all, we must cherish the fruits of this labor, and then pan for gold from the sand, and many good manuscripts are mined from these 'sand'. To get close to the author, the author is the person who contributes to the newspaper, magazine, and publishing house, is the main body of creation, and is another important subject in the publishing industry in addition to the editor. Authors and editors are interdependent and indispensable. The author is an important partner of the editor, and the editor should make friends with the author, treat each other with sincerity, equality, respect, care, and be like a brother. Only in this way can the author give you a good manuscript, and your friendship and care can also prompt the author to write a good manuscript for you. Therefore, the closeness of the editor to the author is really important. There are many examples of editors and writers becoming lifelong friends, and friendships trump brothers. The editor has compiled the author's debut novel or important work, and the author will keep it in mind and treat you as a lifelong teacher. This paragraph really speaks to the author's heart. It is precisely because of Mr. Liu Yishan's sincerity and respect for the author that he has won the respect and love of many authors. Every New Year, the blessings that flutter like snowflakes are condensed on the New Year's card, and Mr. has reason to be happy: "I feel that my life as an editor is very fulfilling. In the tenth lecture "The Historical Connotation and Cultural Significance of Folk Collections", he said: "The richness and poverty of a country's collection represent the level and height of the country's preservation of culture and history." "It's a hit on the head. Through the content of this class, it can be seen that he has an in-depth study of folk collections. He said: "Folk collecting is a kind of cloth and clothing. Although there are still many people in the folk collection in the shallow cultural state with interest as the starting point, and there is a distance from the high-level collection based on strong material conditions, with the purpose of studying a certain culture, and with rational and systematic methods as the means, but the folk collection is to hide the treasure in the people, and the national collection of treasures in the library complements each other, and preserves history and culture for the nation and the world, which is indispensable. "In the vast sea of folk collections, he told several interesting stories to illustrate the value of folk collections. Each story is like a legendary novel, but it really exists in the land of Jingchu. I believe that "life is more exciting than drama". Thinking deeper, I owe it to the fun and smoothness of Mr.'s narrative style. He is adept at using folk language to present the original ecology of the story. This point is similar in the thirteenth class "Zhou Baosheng's Field Culture". The villagers found that in the past, when the team members entered the farmhouse, the dogs would bark a few times, but now they run more often, and even the dogs are familiar with them, so they no longer bark, and they still run to them with their tails between their legs to welcome them. Door-to-door, one look at the grain, two to see the house, three to see whether the labor is strong, four to see if there is a scholar at home, five to see if there is anyone sick in bed, six to see if there are any belongings. "You see, with this series of standard comparisons, poverty alleviation can be implemented accurately, and storytelling will be grounded. Mr. Liu Yishan has studied Zhou Baosheng's field culture thoroughly, with a sense of depth and bone.

The third is to pay tribute to Mr. Liu Yishan's wide reading. As the editor and editor-in-chief of "Yangtze River Literature and Art", he wants to read the books he wants to read, and he wants to read the books he wants to read, and he wants to read the books given by his writer's friends...... Reading is an important part of his life. People who read it regularly mostly have the experience that it's easy to get into the character and empathize with the author as much as they do. In this affectionate "Eighteen Lessons", Mr. Liu Yishan uses his reading history to present readers with a key to speed reading classics, and for those who love reading, what is more precious than this! Mr. Liu Yishan uses his creative process and experience as an editor to open a door to writing for readers, and for those who love writing, every class is a nutritious meal that can improve the level of writing. Although I did not have the opportunity to listen to Mr. Liu Yishan's lecture at Wuhan East Lake University, I was fortunate to read the book "Eighteen Lessons" published by Wuhan University Press, and I also felt very rewarded. In the sixth class, "Life Must Not Understand Literature", I read familiar passages that I had copied before. The first is a passage said by Li Er, a contemporary Chinese novelist: "Literature makes us learn to speak, literature softens our hearts, literature makes us have tears in our eyes, and literature makes the world less dry." The second is the "Poetry of Words and Aspirations" by Yang Jisheng, an honest official in the Ming Dynasty: "After reading the law and reading books for forty years, there is a blue sky on the head of the black yarn. The boy wants to paint Lingyan Pavilion, and his first fame is not to love money. The third is what Qian Mu, a master of Chinese studies, said: "If you don't understand literature, if you don't understand literature, it's always a big regret in life, and it seems to be bigger than not knowing history and philosophy." Mr. Liu Yishan quoted these classics in his lectures can be said to be never tired of reading. Reading and writing, like a pair of twin brothers, want to write when you read more, and still feel like you want to read when you write more. In my opinion, the ultimate goal of reading and writing is not to win awards, but to win awards? Mr. Liu Yishan gave an answer: "The process of a poet reading and writing poems is a process of optimizing his life, which can cultivate righteousness, noble personality, and effectively improve his inner quality and spiritual realm." Poetic life can make people indifferent and ambitious, constantly cultivate sentiments, and self-enlightenment and solve doubts. ”

"Eighteen Lessons" is a jade plate strung with literary pearls, and I am also a private collector and treasure this jade plate.
