Beijing News (Reporter Geng Ziye) On April 5, the 2024 Spring Tourism Launching Ceremony and the 12th Apricot Blossom Festival of the Jinshanling Great Wall in Chengde City, Hebei Province kicked off in the Jinshanling Scenic Area. More than 20,000 tourists from Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Inner Mongolia and other places gathered at the Jinshanling Great Wall to enjoy the spring colors of apricot blossoms, and the passenger flow hit a record high after the epidemic.

The theme of this year's Apricot Blossom Festival is "Apricot Blossoms Reflecting the Great Wall, Apricot Rhyme Jinshanling", with eco-tourism, intangible cultural heritage performances, art exhibitions, and dynamic sports as the highlights. At the opening ceremony, Chengde City's "Spring Breeze Blows Full of Cheng" five all-for-one spring tourism routes were released, and a 9% discount was launched for holding Jinshanling Great Wall tickets to enjoy food, children's paradise, and homestay experience in the surrounding Four Seasons Mountain, Zhuangtou Tribe, and Rehe Traditional Chinese Medicine Flower Town Scenic Area. During the event, wearing cheongsams and Hanfu is free of charge for tickets to the Jinshanling Great Wall Scenic Area.

It is worth mentioning that this year's Apricot Blossom Festival has launched three "check-in" points: "Romantic C-position", "Shocking C-position" and "Extreme C-position", visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery of apricot blossoms and the ancient Great Wall on the east side of the road. There are also special cultural and artistic performances such as intangible cultural heritage flowers, Tai Chi performances, folk music guzheng, cheongsam catwalks, and opera performances.

This year, the Jinshanling Great Wall Apricot Blossom Festival specially invited the well-known artist Wu Jianchao to open the "Great Wall Art Exhibition", which focused on displaying a number of Great Wall-themed art works in the brick stack building, and carried out artistic creation on the spot. Each work is full of the artist's love for the Great Wall, and through a variety of art forms, it shows the style of the Great Wall in different periods, seasons and characteristics, bringing tourists the "drunkenness" and "beauty" of the Jinshanling Great Wall. Along the Great Wall, there is also an interesting "Flying Flower Order" poetry challenge and the "Jinshanling Great Wall Photo Contest" to show off their strengths, attracting many tourists to participate.
It is reported that the Jinshanling Great Wall Apricot Blossom Festival will continue until April 21, during which there will also be the launch of the 3rd Great Wall Trail Walking Trekking Festival, Jinshanling Great Wall Half Marathon and other wonderful events, marathon and hiking enthusiasts from all over the world can feel the historical precipitation of the century-old Great Wall at close range, experience the trend and fashion of Luanping, and appreciate the "Jinshan Solo Show" in the change of scenery.
