On the other hand, there is no strong new car launch, and the effect of using old cars to do things may not be so obvious. Obviously, all major brands know that if they want to break the existing pattern and break the current silence, they need a very competitive new product, which can only attract the attention of the market if it is fresh enough, the product is strong enough, and the price is attractive enough. The market is indeed not good, but as the weather warms up, the peak season is coming, and major brands are starting to move.
Recently, there will be a new twin-cylinder domestic imitation race of about 300cc on the market, and according to the relevant information exposed before, the product power is quite good, and it is worth a look. This imitation race is as early as the 2022 Motorcycle Expo, has been exhibited Norma Polar Shadow 325S, I didn't expect until recently that the news of going on the market, after more than a year of polishing, what is there to look forward to in this imitation race?
The original look is muscular
Different from the previous knife wind series, and different from the previous Phantom 255S, the Polar Shadow 325S has opened a new design style, which is said to be designed by the Italian team, whether it is the body proportions, or the posture of the whole vehicle, it has full imitation characteristics. The Polar Shadow 325S (pictured above is an engineering prototype) has a strong sense of design, with sharp lines around the concave and convex side surrounds, the direction of the fuel tank and the front tilt angle are integrated, creating a ready attack posture, and the high tail and raised exhaust pipes are all interpreting the sportiness of this car.
The specifications are full of sincerity
According to the previously exposed pictures of the engineering prototype, combined with some sporadic news announced at the auto show, it is not difficult to find that the specifications of the Normar 325S are still quite powerful. The car is equipped with Yu'an inverted front shock absorber, mid-mounted rear shock absorber (preload adjustable), front single disc brake + aviation radial four-piston brake caliper, rear aviation special single-piston brake caliper, standard dual-channel ABS + TCS function.
It can be seen from the actual car photo from a handlebar angle that the Polar Shadow 325S is also equipped with a 5-inch full-color TFT instrument (support screen projection, tire pressure display), and the UI interface is also very designed. The handlebar button is a common universal module design on the market, which is more common in other domestic imitation races, and it comes with a backlight function.
Some of the other more detailed specs are not yet known. However, compared with the previous engineering prototype, it is not difficult to find that there seems to be no big difference in the rest of the car except for the exhaust pipe shape, and it can also be seen from the picture that the completion of the whole car is higher, and it obviously has the requirements for mass production on the road.
The power level is comparable to that of a 400cc twin
In terms of power, the Polar Shadow 325S is equipped with a 325cc displacement inline twin engine, with a maximum power of 28.7w/10500rpm, a maximum torque of 27.5N·m/9500rpm, a standard slipper clutch, 000 acceleration in 5.6 seconds, and a maximum speed of more than 170km/h, and the power performance is comparable to that of a 400cc model. And the curb weight of the Polar Shadow 325S is only 158kg, with a high-spec configuration and chassis, coupled with a short wheelbase of 1375mm, making its sporty performance quite worth looking forward to.
Immerse yourself in penance and concentrate on development
In the past two years, other domestic brands are involuting each other, but Norma has not moved, after the launch of the Chongqing Motorcycle Expo in 2022 RACING655 four-cylinder imitation race, this brand has not launched a new car, what is Norma doing? In fact, before this, Norma 325S has already competed in the field. In October 2023, in the second CEF Endurance Race (Ordos), the Polar Shadow 325S competed with Kawasaki, Yamaha, Zongshen, Apulia and many other manufacturers, and finally completed a 4-hour non-stop high-intensity endurance race with 104 laps, the best lap time of 2:11.890, and a GPS tail speed of 170km/h+, and won the runner-up in the 300CC-400CC group. Through the CEF endurance race, the stability and performance of the Polar Shadow 325S have been verified and tested.
The "horizon" is a thing of the past
To this day, there are still many people who feel that Norma from Wuxi is the representative of the "Horizon" brand. However, the three days should be impressive, Norma has now focused on self-developed original models, and now many domestic brands of first-line manufacturers, many years ago also did this kind of thing, we can not always look at Norma with colored glasses and prejudice, their progress is visible to the public.
In 2018, Norma became popular with the knife wind 250/400, and quickly became well-known to motorcycle friends across the country, although it was full of controversy, but its fame soared.
