Preface
The 108 generals of Liangshan are a brilliant landscape in ancient Chinese literature, and their heroic spirit and ambition are deeply imprinted in the pages of history.
However, in addition to their glorious achievements in history, what kind of legends do their descendants have? Who can inherit this heroic bloodline and walk out of their own glorious life?
Today, let's explore the rise and fall of the descendants of the heroes of Liangshan, and see which of the heroes' descendants has emerged, achieved extraordinary achievements, and amazed the world?
Xu Sheng: The lonely future of the heir of gunnery
"Golden Gunner" Xu Ning is one of the strongest martial arts in Liangshan, but unfortunately he was seriously injured in a battle, because the divine doctor An Daoquan has been transferred, no one can cure him, and finally died. Xu Ning's only son, Xu Sheng, learned good marksmanship with his father since he was a child, using the hook and sickle gun, his father's favorite weapon.
Xu Sheng has shown extraordinary courage and martial arts since he was a child, but it is a pity that when he was young, his parents died one after another, and he became an orphan and wandered in Kaifeng City. Fortunately, Hu Yanzhuo took him in, which not only gave him a place to live, but more importantly, he got to know the like-minded Hu Yanyu. The friendship between the two gradually grew in Huyan's house.
Later, Hu Yanzhuo married his beloved daughter Hu Yan Yuying for Xu Sheng, which made this friendship even stronger. Xu Sheng is very much in love with Huyan Yuying, and the relationship between the two is also very affectionate. Although Xu Sheng was once adrift in Kaifeng City, with the safe haven of Huyan's family, his life finally settled.
Hu Yanzhuo died in battle soon after, Xu Sheng and Hu Yanyu decided to return to Liangshanbo, where they fought side by side with the descendants of other heroes, punishing adultery and eliminating evil, killing the rich and helping the poor, and inheriting their father's business and glorifying their ancestors.
Hu Yanyu: The loyal heir of the Iron Whip family
Hu Yanzhuo, known as the "Double Whip", is a member of the "Five Tiger Generals of the Ma Army" in Liangshan. His ancestor was Hu Yanzan, a famous general of the Northern Song Dynasty, who was a martial arts general. Hu Yanzhuo's son, Hu Yanyu, has been practicing martial arts with his father since he was a child, and learned to use the family heirloom of two big iron whips.
In addition to being strong in martial arts, Hu Yanyu is also an extremely loyal and honest young man. He often asked Wen Huanzhang, a teacher, for literary knowledge, and gradually developed a strong interest in literature. Wen Huanzhang was once invited by the traitor Gao Yu of the Northern Song Dynasty to guide the military strategy of conquest of Liangshanbo, but was rejected by Gao Yu's self-containedness, and was finally captured by the heroes of Liangshan.
Hu Yanyu has been wandering in Kaifeng City until his father Hu Yanzhuo took him in after recruiting him. In Hu Yanzhuo's home, Hu Yanyu and Xu Sheng formed a deep friendship. Hu Yanzhuo personally acted as a matchmaker for the two, so that Xu Sheng married his beloved daughter Hu Yan Yuying.
Soon, Hu Yanzhuo went out with the army to fight against the Jin army, and finally died on the battlefield. Grief-stricken, Hu Yanyu and Xu Sheng decided to follow their ancestors and return to Liangshanbo, where they fought side by side with the sons of Song Qing and Hua Fengchun, punishing adultery and eliminating evil, killing the rich and helping the poor.
Zhang Jie: The great filial son of Shizi guerrilla
Zhang Qing is a seemingly inconspicuous small character in Liangshan, but his unique skill is the unsurpassed stone guerrilla technique. A small stone in his hands can be turned into an indestructible killing weapon. Zhang Qing's wife Qiong Ying is also a strong martial arts woman, and their son Zhang Jie was born in a martial arts family.
Zhang Qing was unfortunately killed in the battle against Fangla, leaving his wife Qiongying and son Zhang Jie to rely on each other. Qiong Ying raised her son alone, and cultivated Zhang Jie's martial arts with great care, hoping that he could become a generation of heroes like his father.
Under the careful teaching of his mother, Zhang Jie quickly mastered the essence of Shizi guerrilla and carried forward this unique skill. He often has the determination to avenge his father, and acts chivalrous and righteous on the rivers and lakes, punishing evil and promoting good, which has won the hearts of the people. Later, Zhang Jie joined the Song army to fight against foreign enemies, repeatedly performed miraculous feats, and was named a general.
After becoming famous, Zhang Jie did not immerse himself in glory and wealth, but chose to return to his hometown in seclusion and filial piety to his mother Qiongying in her old age. A former widow, with his courage and martial arts, became a generation of famous generals, and a good son who is filial and promising.
Zhu Tong: A descendant of the family of the beautiful bearded prince
Zhu Tong, known as the "beautiful bearded man", is one of the few perfect people among the 108 generals in Liangshan. He was born in a wealthy family, learned a good martial arts since he was a child, and later entered the imperial court. However, for some reason, he was demoted and relegated to a remote place.
There, Zhu Tong was deeply loved by the local governor, who happened to have a lovely child, and Zhu Tong often accompanied the child to play and play. It's a pity that the good times didn't last long, in order to recruit Zhu Tong into the gang, Song Jiang actually asked his subordinate Li Kui to kill this innocent child, and Zhu Tong had no choice but to join Liangshanbo.
In order to curry favor with Zhu Tong, Song Jiang also had his family take to Liangshan, including his wife and son. It's a pity that the name of Zhu Tong's son was not revealed in "Water Margin".
After the conquest of Fangla, Zhu Tong returned to serve in the imperial court, and later followed the Song army to fight against foreign enemies, made great achievements, and was named the envoy of the festival. At that time, the hereditary system of official positions prevailed, and after Zhu Tong retired, his son naturally inherited this important position.
It is conceivable that the life of Zhu Tong's family in their later years should be carefree. As one of the few members of the 108 generals in Liangshan who can enjoy his old age in peace, Zhu Tong's life can be described as complete. His son has inherited a prominent official position, becoming a new generation of festival envoys, glorifying the ancestors and continuing the glory of the family.
Flowers in Spring: The Romantic Saga of the Marksman
Xiao Li Guanghuarong is a rare archery master in Liangshan, and he, like Hu Yanzhuo, successfully survived to the end of the expedition to Fangla. Before dying, Hua Rong told Wu Yong that he had made proper arrangements for his wife and children to ensure that their lives were safe. Hua Rong's son is Hua Fengchun, who is a figure who has attracted much attention in "The Legend of the Water Margin".
Hua Fengchun learned a superb archery skill with his father since he was a child, and later joined Liang Shanbo, and his first show of skill was to shoot off the eye of a giant whale, which shows that he is indeed an ancestral archer. Subsequently, Hua Fengchun followed Li Jun, the dragon of the mixed river, to expedition to Siam, and fought his way out of the siege in the smoke of war, and finally captured Siam.
After the war, Hua Fengchun met a Siamese princess late, and the two fell in love at first sight and soon became husband and wife. Soon after, there was a coup d'état in Siam, and there was a plot to kill the king and try to usurp the throne. Li Jun led the descendants of the heroes of Liangshan to quell the turmoil, and finally under the recommendation of everyone, Li Jun ascended the throne as the new king of Siam.
As the king's concubine, Hua Fengchun should inherit the throne, but he was humble and polite, and politely declined the important task. Eventually, Li Jun became the king of Siam, and Hua Fengchun served as his important adviser, living a carefree life in this land. An archery master, and thus began a romantic and legendary life.
