On April 1, the 2024 7th Western Animal Husbandry Expo and Dairy Goat Industry Development Conference opened in Hall C of Yangling Agricultural High School. Kang Xiangtao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of Henan Agricultural University, Wang Xiuyan, deputy secretary-general of China Animal Husbandry Association, Yang Xiuwen, deputy secretary-general of China Dairy Association, Tan Keqiang, chief pastor of Shaanxi Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Chen Yulin, vice president of Northwest A&F University, and Ma Jiangtao, deputy director of the Management Committee of Yangling Demonstration Zone, jointly pressed the start button.

At the same time, the exhibition held the "Western Animal Husbandry Industry Innovation and Development Forum" and six professional forums: namely the Western Animal Husbandry Innovation and Development Forum, the Pig Industry Development and Swine Disease Prevention and Control Forum, the Feed Additives Industry Innovation and Development Forum, and the Rabbit Industry Science and Technology Innovation and Development Forum. More than 80 well-known experts and executives of famous enterprises at home and abroad were invited to give in-depth explanations on the strategic layout, national policies, development trends, production and management and key technologies of epidemic prevention and control in the development of animal husbandry in the western region. The majority of breeding enterprises provide a most direct and effective comprehensive exchange of technology and information, and more than 2,000 experts have registered to participate in the meeting.
The College of Animal Science and Technology of Northwest A&F University, College of Veterinary Medicine, and College of Animal Engineering of Yangling Vocational and Technical College have screened out more than 100 influential important scientific and technological achievements for on-site exhibition, and build a platform for production, learning and research cooperation through exhibitions, forums and meetings, trading cooperation and other modes, so as to promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in colleges and universities, promote all-round cooperation between universities and enterprises, and serve economic and social development.
For the first time, the exhibition added a pet and pet supplies section, and the "Hand in Hand Elf Cup" pet grooming competition was held during the exhibition. More than 50 contestants from all over the country competed on the same stage, so that the originally long-haired pet dogs showed a beautiful posture, attracting many pet lovers to stop and watch. This competition is not only an arena for all contestants, but also a platform for the exchange of pet grooming skills, and the successful holding of the competition will lay a solid foundation for the cultivation of pet care and grooming talents.
