I've always dreamed of having a little world of my own, a courtyard where I can relax and get close to nature. After living in the city for a long time, there is always a trace of nostalgia for the countryside in my heart. So, I decided to go back to the countryside and build a house with my own hands to create the courtyard of my dreams.
Choosing a location is a university question. I found a good place to sit in the north and face south, with mountains and rivers, and I can enjoy the warm sun in winter and the mountain breeze in summer. After the foundation was laid, the design of the house was put on the agenda. What I wanted was a building that was both modern and rustic, simple but not simple.
After the house was built, the focus was on my courtyard. I laid white and gray stone slabs in the center of the courtyard, which looked atmospheric and refreshing. Around me, I planted all kinds of flowers and trees. There is a wooden table on the left, which is a good place for me to drink tea and read. Next to the table are two rattan cushions, where we can sit and talk when friends visit. Next to it is a long wooden stool on which the afternoon sun shines, making it a great place to take a lunch break.
On the right side of the courtyard, I placed a comfortable outdoor sofa with white cushions and a few pillows to make it cozy. At night, I just nestled here, staring at the stars and enjoying the tranquility of the countryside.
Potted plants are an indispensable element in my garden. I carefully selected all kinds of plants that are easy to feed and look at, and scattered them all over the garden. On the roof, I also hung some lamps and plants, and the courtyard at night was even more unique.
At the back of the house, I also left a small balcony. It's also full of plants and comfortable seating, making it a great place to relax after a busy day.
Now, my dream garden is starting to take shape. Every time I come back here, I feel like I'm in a paradise where all my worries are thrown out of the clouds. If you have such a dream, you might as well take action and create your own dream garden!
