On the evening of March 26, the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLE coupe was officially launched in Shenzhen, and the new car offers a total of three configurations, including a CLE 260 rear-wheel drive version priced at 457,600 yuan, and two CLE 300 4MATIC four-wheel drive versions priced at 516,600 yuan and 552,300 yuan respectively.
The all-new CLE Coupe is a coupe version based on this generation of Mercedes-Benz E-Class, so it has the same design language as the E-Class in terms of interior and exterior design. Its length is 4850mm, the width is 1861mm, the height is 1425mm, and the wheelbase is 2865mm.
The new CLE Coupe underlines its unique coupe identity with its lines and proportions, including a long cabin, short front and long rear overhangs, a two-section waistline, a sleek fastback shape, a raised bonnet with ribs, and frameless doors with 19-inch AMG wheels. Keeping pace with the new Mercedes-Benz offering is the new CLE Coupe's cockpit interaction system, which features a third-generation MBUX interaction system that includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch central display that tilts 6 degrees towards the driver, driven by an advanced 8295 cockpit chip. The cabin is also equipped with a Berlin Sound 17-speaker sound system and 64-colour ambient lighting.
This in-vehicle system supports 5G communication, and there are also a large number of localized applications in China, including entertainment functions such as Himalaya and QQ Music, as well as a customized version of AutoNavi in-vehicle navigation based on Unity 3D rendering to meet the needs of Chinese users.
It is worth mentioning that in terms of space, the new CLE coupe has significantly improved rear space compared to the C-class coupe, that is, the rear row has increased by 10 mm of headroom, 19 mm of shoulder and elbow room, and 72 mm of knee room, and at the same time, the new car can also reach 420 liters of luggage volume.
In terms of power, the all-new CLE coupe is equipped with the M254 2.0T engine, the CLE 260 low-power version has a maximum power of 150 kW and a maximum torque of 320 Nm, and the CLE 300 4MATIC high-power version has a maximum power of 190 kW and a maximum torque of 400 Nm, with a 0-100 acceleration time of 6.3 seconds.
The transmission system adopts a 9-speed automatic manual transmission, matched with an ISG 48V mild hybrid motor, and the motor power is increased from 15 kW to 17 kW, which can be used for engine starting, energy recovery, power enhancement and other functions.
In terms of safety equipment, the new car is equipped with rear side airbags, delivery seat belts, 360° panoramic image and other configurations, while in terms of intelligent driving functions, the new car also supports L2 intelligent navigation assistance Pro function and intelligent parking function with parking positioning system.
The all-new CLE coupe continues Mercedes-Benz's consistently excellent design standards in the coupe series, and the imported model introduced to the domestic market this time has a lower threshold than the previous E-class coupe pricing, and the price of the domestic E-class sedan version overlaps.
