The quantum architecture, a new generation of exclusive new energy vehicle platform developed by Dongfeng R&D Institute, realizes the exquisite combination of auto parts like building blocks.
In April last year, Dongfeng Company released the "Quantum Architecture" technology brand at the opening ceremony of the 7th Science and Technology Innovation Week. Dongfeng quantum architecture is equipped with the first service-oriented electronic and electrical architecture in China, covering the vehicle end, cloud and ecological end, which can realize software and hardware decoupling and rapid iteration.
Ye Xiaoming, director of the passenger car platform center of Dongfeng R&D Institute, introduced that the quantum architecture is based on the development concept of modular architecture, which divides the car into multiple independent modules, each of which has specific specifications, functions and interfaces. Different platforms can be derived from the architecture, and the platform determines the level and performance of the model, as well as the specifications and combination modes of components.
"With the platform, the power, body, electronic control system and other parts can be freely combined like building blocks to customize different new models for users. Ye Xiaoming said that Dongfeng Company has created the No. 1 platform, No. 2 platform and No. 3 platform of quantum architecture. For example, the newly launched Dongfeng eπ007 comes from the No. 2 quantum architecture platform, and the national pure electric professional brand Dongfeng Nano uses the No. 3 quantum architecture platform.
Quantum is the smallest unit of physical quantity, and it also represents the scientific research attitude of Dongfeng R&D people to pursue the ultimate. Derived from the quantum architecture, the eπ07 has a drag coefficient of only 0.209, ranking first in the same class of models.
In order to achieve this first, Dongfeng R&D people integrated the key technology of modeling streamline aesthetics and low wind resistance performance design, and obtained the authoritative certification of "low wind resistance vehicle" with a wind resistance value of 0.209 through more than 1,000 rounds of simulation and optimization, more than 100 hours of wind tunnel tests, setting a new benchmark for the aerodynamic performance of the whole vehicle.
Ye Xiaoming introduced that thanks to the Dongfeng quantum architecture, the development cycle of Dongfeng's new energy vehicles can be greatly shortened to 18 months or even 12 months, the generalization rate of architecture parts has been increased by more than 20%, and the reliability of the model has also been greatly improved.
Practice the development of "new quality productivity", and accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into branding and commercialization. At present, Dongfeng has completed the product layout based on the quantum architecture, and plans to build a matrix of nearly 20 models to serve many of its brands, with a production and sales scale of more than one million vehicles.
