The first leg of the 8th Shaanxi Provincial Sports Club Swimming League in 2024 will kick off in Xi'an on March 23, and the two-day competition attracted 1,100 people to sign up for the competition, and enjoy the health and happiness brought by swimming in the swimming pool of the Shaanxi Provincial Swimming and Diving Hall, which will also further promote the popularization and development of swimming in the province.
As a national fitness brand event in Shaanxi Province, the Shaanxi Provincial Sports Club Swimming League was founded in 2017, hosted by the Shaanxi Provincial Swimming Association and undertaken by the Shaanxi Flying Fish Youth Sports Club.
"This mass swimming event, which has been selected as the best silver medal event of the provincial national fitness, has been loved and praised by more and more swimming enthusiasts after several years of development. This year's 8th league has been identified as a Shaanxi Province swimming amateur sports rating event, and the first leg of the competition will be carried out to implement the rating. According to the person in charge of the organizer of the event, compared with the previous league, the upper limit of registration for this competition has been increased from 1,000 to 1,100, in the hope of attracting more people to join the ranks of swimming exercises. According to the general regulations of the competition, there are four stations in this competition, of which the first three stations are sub-station competitions, and the fourth station is the finals, and the registered units must be registered group member units of the Shaanxi Provincial Swimming Association.
The adult group is divided into middle-aged and elderly group (45-59 years old) and young adult group (19-44 years old) according to the age of the contestants, and the youth group is divided into group A (17-18 years old), group B (15-16 years old), group C (13-14 years old), group D (11-12 years old), group E (9-10 years old), and group F (7-8 years old) according to the age of the contestants. In addition, each group is divided into men's and women's groups, the adult group is set up with 50m freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly, a total of 16 events, and the youth group is set up with 50m backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, butterfly, 100m backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, butterfly, 200m individual medley and other events, a total of 106 events.
It is reported that in order to ensure the success of the event, the Shaanxi Provincial Swimming Association benchmarked the standards of the National Games, selected 70 referees from the province to conduct on-site refereeing, and at the same time, also recruited 15 volunteers to ensure the quality of service of the event. In addition, in order to meet the needs of the majority of swimming enthusiasts, the competition will also be broadcast live through the "Shaanxi Flying Fish Swimming" WeChat video account and the "Shaanxi Flying Fish Youth Sports Club" Douyin account, and invite senior swimming practitioners to serve as commentators to improve the viewing of the event. In order to increase the fun and interactivity of the event, the organizing committee also carefully organized a lucky draw.
