Comrade Liu Jian, a native of Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, was born in September 1944. He is currently the chairman of the National Agricultural Science and Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation Alliance and the National Rural Cultural Industry Innovation Alliance, the art consultant of the Artists Association of Central State Organs, and a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association.
He has served as Counselor of the State Council, Director of the Poverty Alleviation Office of the State Council, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province, and Special Researcher of the Chinese Academy of Arts of the Ministry of Culture.
As the honorary chairman of the Ecological China Think Tank of the Earth Villagers Network, he wrote the name of the network for the Earth Villagers Network, launched the "Zero Carbon Action of 100 Cities and Thousands of Enterprises", and actively advocated and practiced carbon reduction fitness sports such as "Fan Revolution" and "Stair Climbing", so that zero-carbon life has become the norm of people's life and work.
Comrade Liu Jian loves calligraphy, and pursues ink and wash, gold and stone flavor, natural interest, rhythm, change, and not exceeding the rules. His paintings are elegant, tranquil and distant, inheriting and carrying forward the traditional Chinese style, and actively exploring Jiaomo freehand painting, striving to integrate into modern life and innovate on the basis of adhering to tradition. He has a deep accomplishment in poetry, calligraphy and painting, and his works are highly appreciated and collected.
