In fact, the presence and density of pubic hair in both men and women are mainly influenced by two factors: androgen levels and the sensitivity of pubic hair follicles to androgens.
During puberty, pubic hair thinning or non-growth can occur if low androgen levels are genetically or otherwise caused by low androgen levels or pubic hair follicles that are not sensitive to androgens.
