The heat of the first wave of blockbuster new cars in 2024 has not passed, and a new round of new car involution is coming. Two days ago, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a new batch of new car declaration information, including many high-profile and explosive products.

BYD Qin L
Among the new cars that are about to be launched, the one that attracts the most attention from consumers and manufacturers should be BYD's Qin L. Many people regard this car as a replacement of Qin PLUS, and when the sales of Qin PLUS DM-i are still far ahead, the arrival of the replacement product will undoubtedly bring great pressure to friends.
However, whether it is from the product itself or BYD's sales plan, Qin L is not a replacement of Qin PLUS, because its price threshold is expected to be much higher than that of Qin PLUS DM-i, which has dropped to the 80,000 range, and after Qin L is listed, the Qin PLUS series will definitely not be discontinued.
It can be seen from the size parameters that the positioning of the Qin L is half a level higher than that of the Qin PLUS DM-i, in addition to the exact same body height, the wheelbase, length and width of the Qin L are significantly larger. In particular, it is worth pointing out that the width of the Qin L has reached 1.9 meters, which has fully reached the standard of a mid-size sedan. However, the positioning of Qin L itself is still a compact sedan.
In other aspects, Qin L has attracted the most attention, it should be BYD's new generation of DM-i hybrid system, a lot of technical information about this set of power has not yet been announced, but from the information of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Qin L standard range and long range version are marked with fuel consumption, respectively3.8 and 3.98L/100km. At present, the fuel consumption of Qin PLUS DM-i is 4.6L/100km, which is a very obvious increase.
However, in terms of power, the Qin L has shrunk to a certain extent compared to the Qin PLUS DM-i, the maximum power of the engine has been reduced from 81kW to 74kW, and the power of the motor in the small battery version has also been reduced from 132kW to 120kW. Although this is only a power parameter and does not represent the actual power performance, considering the larger body of the Qin L, the power performance of this car may not be too optimistic.
However, the large battery version of the Qin L has a motor power of 160kW, which is higher than the 145kW of the large battery version of the Qin PLUS DM-i.
In terms of range, the Qin PLUS DM-i is currently available in two versions, 55 and 120 km, both according to the NEDC mode, while the Qin L has a range of 60 and 90 km in the CLTC mode, respectively.
It can be seen that the Qin L with a new hybrid system may indeed have lower fuel consumption, but there is also a certain compromise in power and pure electric range, but we can also speculate that although the size of the Qin L is much larger, the price should not be much higher than the Qin PLUS DM-i.
BYD Seal 06
The name Seal 06 is a bit confusing at first glance, and the previous names with "0X" are all BYD's warship series, such as Destroyer 05 and Frigate 07. What is the positioning of the 06 with the seal prefix today? Very simply, the seal 06 is Qin L's version of the BYD Ocean Network.
The size parameters are highly similar, and the currently known power information is basically the same, but the styling style of the seal 06 is not only significantly different from the Qin L, but also basically different from other BYD models.
The difference in the front face is clear at a glance, and the seal 06 has changed the large and medium mesh of Qin L and adopted a semi-closed design. The decorative strip connecting the two headlights at the same time was canceled. In fact, the headlight position and contours of the two cars are very similar, but the lines of the seal 06 headlights have been slightly softened, which makes its front face have a sense of simplicity and roundness that is completely different from Qin L.
The general outline of the side and the shape of the popular rearview mirror are also very similar, but the seal 06 basically cancels the waistline on the Qin L, and at the same time softens the sheet metal line under the door, plus the semi-hidden door handle, the side appears more concise.
As for the rear of the car, we saw the classic through taillights of the Ocean Net model, but unlike the previous seals and dolphins, the taillights of the Seal 06 are much simpler inside. At the same time, the rear of the car does not have too much clutter decoration, and together with the front face and side, it presents a rare simple and elegant look and feel of BYD models.
In all fairness, I am personally not interested in the styling of most of BYD's models, and the styling of the Qin L is also decent in my eyes. But the shape and texture of the seal 06 really made me a little tempted. It can be speculated that consumers who gave up Qin PLUS because of the styling before may also choose BYD this time because of the appearance of the seal 06.
Lynk & Co 07
ZEEKR 007, Galaxy E8 and Lynk & Co 07, Geely Group's three new energy sedans, have been released in a very short period of time, making it natural to speculate that they are versions of different brands. However, in fact, in terms of size, power, platform, suspension and price positioning, the three sedans actually have core differences.
The first to go on the market, the Zeekrypton 007, is a standard medium-sized car, but the use of a higher specification of double wishbone front overhang; Geely Galaxy E8 car is more than 5 meters long, positioning to the medium and large level, but the front overhang adopts a lower specification of MacPherson structure; as for Lynk & Co 07, the size is the smallest of the three cars, but the exterior is not much different from the Zeekrypton 007, the gap is mainly reflected in the wheelbase.
Strictly speaking, the Lynk & Co 07 has crossed the threshold of a medium-sized car, and its classification in Autohome is also a medium-sized car. But the embarrassing thing is that the body length of the compact Qin L is 3mm longer than that of the Lynk & Co 07, but in terms of wheelbase, the Lynk & Co 07 is 53mm longer than the Qin L, and the overall advantage is still slightly superior.
At present, it is known that the Lynk & Co 07 uses the same 1.5T engine as the Lynk & Co 08 and Xingrui L, but the motor parameters have not been announced. If it is on par with Lynk & Co 08, then even if there is no four-wheel drive version, the comprehensive power of the two-wheel drive version will reach 381 horsepower, which is far more than Qin L, Xingrui L and other competitors of similar size.
In terms of range, the Lynk & Co 07 has a battery capacity of 18.99 kWh and a range of 102 km in CLTC mode.
In terms of configuration, we did not see the lidar on the information of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and we did not see the relevant design on the picture, which means that Lynk & Co 07 may not be equipped with high-end intelligent driving functions like Zeekrypton 007 and Geely Galaxy E8, which is consistent with Lynk & Co 08.
If you position a medium-sized car, it means that the price of Lynk & Co 07 will not be too low, the starting price of Lynk & Co 08 has reached 208,800, and the plug-in hybrid version of Lynk & Co 03 has a starting price of nearly 160,000 (more than 140,000 after discounts), and the price of Lynk & Co 07 will definitely be much higher than that of Lynk & Co 03 hybrid version, so it is basically difficult to compete with Qin L/Seal 06 in price.
What price will be set for Lynk & Co 07 in the end, friends can also guess.
Chery Fengyun T9 C-DM
Old fans should remember the glory of the Chery Fengyun series many years ago, and now Chery has restarted the name, but the nature is very different from before, and the currently announced Fengyun T6 is a compact SUV, while the Fengyun T9 is a mid-size SUV.
Judging from the pictures, Fengyun T9's sense of volume is indeed not small, with a towering hood, slender side lines, and especially a large C-pillar window, which has a bit of the aura of a high-end mid-size SUV. However, if you look at the parameters, you will find that this car is classified as a mid-size SUV, which is actually a bit reluctant.
With a wheelbase of less than 2.8 meters and a length of less than 4.8 meters, the wheelbase and body length are only a little more than the Song PLUS DM-i, and the only size that leapfrogs is the body width, reaching 1.93 meters. On the whole, Fengyun T9 is basically a little bigger than Tiggo 8. If it is placed in a mid-size SUV, the volume of Fengyun T9 is considered small.
In terms of power, Fengyun T9 is the same as Tiggo 8 Kunpeng e+, and also uses a hybrid combination of 1.5T+3DHT, but the detailed motor parameters have not yet been announced, and it is expected to be similar to Tiggo 8 Kunpeng e+. The fuel consumption is marked at 5.2L/100km, which is slightly lower than the 5.3L/100km of the Song PLUS DM-i, and the performance is worth looking forward to.
As for the range, the Fengyun T9 C-DM uses a 19.43kWh battery pack, and the cruising range in the CLTC mode is 100 km, while the pure electric range of the Tiggo 8 Kunpeng e+ is 100 km in the NEDC mode, and the Song PLUS DM-i is 110 and 150 km in the NEDC mode.
On the whole, Fengyun T9 does have a certain sense of luxury in design, compared with the Tiggo 8 series, there is a lot of progress, but the front face shape is still a little different, which may challenge the aesthetics of potential consumers.
The specific configuration and interior have not yet been disclosed, and if the listing price is right, the sales of this car may also have some potential.
