BYD has finally built a "people-friendly" MPV!
Zhidian Mobility sorted out the 10 blockbuster MPV models that will be launched this year, including: Ideal MEGA, Geely LEVC Yizhen, BYD Dynasty Network medium and large MPV, SAIC Volkswagen ID.BUZZ, Buick new generation plug-in hybrid GL8, Toyota 2024 Grevia, Trumpchi M7 HEV, Xingtu E08 production version, Hongqi HQ9 PHEV and Dongfeng Fengxing V9.
Ideal MEGA
Availability: March 1
The front row of the Ideal MEGA is close to that of the Ideal L9, equipped with a floating dual screen, built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, Orin X chip, and adopts a 2+2+3 seat layout. Ideal MEGA is equipped with front and rear dual-chamber air suspension + CDC suspension system, equipped with front and rear dual motors, equipped with a 102.7kWh battery pack, the lowest energy consumption under CLTC mode is only 15.9kWh/100km, and the cruising range is over 700km.
Geely Wing Zhen Xspace
Availability: Expected April
The Xspace features a split headlight cluster and continuous running lights, with sliding doors and concealed door handles, and a straight rear end. The Xspace is equipped with a full-size LCD instrument cluster, a horizontal center control screen, a multi-function steering wheel, a crystal knob, a large armrest box, etc., and is available in two seating layouts: 6 and 8 seats. The Xspace is equipped with a single motor with a maximum power of 200kW, and all of them use ternary lithium batteries produced by Geely and CATL.
BYD Dynasty Network medium and large MPV (or named Xia)
Availability: Expected in the third quarter
The new model is the same size as the Denza D9 and is built on the same platform and is available in both DM-i and EV powertrains. The cockpit is expected to adopt the design of the Dynasty series models, and it is likely to continue the 2+2+3 three-row seven-seat layout on the Denza D9, and the second-row seats may support heating, ventilation, massage and other functions. The DM-i model is expected to be equipped with the fifth-generation DM hybrid technology and the introduction of CTB technology, while the all-electric version is expected to be based on the e3.0 platform and will be powered by a single or dual motor.
SAIC Volkswagen ID.BUZZ
Availability: Second half of the year
Volkswagen ID. The BUZZ is built on the MEB platform, and the front face has the V-shaped elements of the Volkswagen T1, and the headlight clusters are connected by LED light strips and adopt a side sliding door design. The ID. BUZZ is equipped with a rear-mounted motor with a power of 150 kW and a maximum torque of 310 Nm, mated to an 82 kWh battery pack, and has a maximum range of 425 km in the WLTP mode.
Toyota's 2024 Grevia
Availability: Expected July

The 2024 Grevia will streamline the existing 2WD variant and add an all-wheel drive sports model with the E-Four system. The new car will also be equipped with integrated first-class seats and upgraded high-tech and advanced equipment.
Xingtu E08 production version

Star Era ET, schematic only
The E08 will belong to the Star Era sequence, based on the high-performance electric platform E0X of Xingtu, with a length of about 5.2 meters. The new car is expected to be equipped with an 800V high-voltage system, providing two power options: pure electric + extended range, and equipped with CDC + air suspension and rear-wheel steering.
红旗HQ9 PHEV
Fuel version of the interior
The Hongqi HQ9 PHEV is equipped with a 2.0-liter plug-in hybrid system and a self-developed battery pack, which is expected to have an all-electric range of 100 km and significantly reduce overall fuel consumption. The new car still adopts a seven-seat layout, and the second- and third-row seats do not have a folding/flipping function, and a dual-color body is optional. The cockpit design is expected to be highly consistent with that of the gasoline model, with a floating center console, equipped with a full LCD instrument cluster, a three-spoke steering wheel, and a floating center control screen.
Fengxing V9
Time on the market: first half of the year
Fengxing V9 adopts a multi-horizontal middle grille design, the headlight group is located on both sides of the middle grille, and the tail retains the through-type light group. The interior of the car adopts the popular triple screen, and is equipped with a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, electronic gear lever, etc. The new car is equipped with 1.5T Mach electric hybrid DH-i hybrid technology, with a maximum engine power of 113kW and a maximum speed of 180km/h, matched with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack provided by Sunwoda.
Trumpchi M7 HEV
The Trumpchi M7 HEV has LED light clusters on both sides of the front face connected by chrome trim strips, and the lower grille adopts a black V-shaped design, which is the same size and interior styling as the Trumpchi E8 (PHEV), which can be regarded as a gasoline-electric hybrid version of the latter. The new car is equipped with a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine with a maximum net power of 103kW and a maximum speed of 160km/h, matched with a ternary lithium power battery provided by Sunwoda.
Buick's new generation plug-in hybrid GL8
Availability: Expected in the second half of the year
Buick Century (illustrative only)
Buick's new-generation plug-in hybrid GL8 is expected to be redesigned with the same exterior design as the Buick Century, and the interior will also use the same set of 33-inch curved dual screens. The new car is expected to be equipped with the same 1.5T engine + electric motor + 2DHT hybrid dedicated transmission as the Chevrolet Explorer, and is equipped with an iron phosphate battery provided by BYD's Fodi Battery.
