On February 15, 2024, the sixth day of the first lunar month, Jiangxi Fengcheng Railway Station ushered in the first wave of passenger return peaks. From now until the end of the Spring Festival, more than 20 volunteers will be dispatched every day to carry out the activity of "Safe Spring Festival, Good People Walk Together".
On the first day of work, the association received the work dispatch of the station leaders, and at 11:56 a.m. on the K1191 train from Nanjing to Zhanjiang, a disabled woman from Fengcheng was unable to accompany her family and caused difficulties in getting on the train, and needed help from volunteers.
After the association was instructed, it immediately arranged 8 volunteers to connect with the parties. It is reported that this woman is a native of Luoshi Town, Fengcheng, who suffered from polio when she was a child, resulting in lower limb disability and wheelchair companionship, and has been singing for a living outside for many years.
The train stops at platform 2 and 3, and has to go up and down the second floor of stairs through the tunnel, and volunteers help those who carry luggage to carry their luggage, and those who carry wheelchairs carry wheelchairs. When the train slowly entered the station, the volunteers carried the passenger onto the train hand in hand, and the volunteers were tired and sweaty.
After seeing off the passenger, another disabled passenger who got off the train on the same train, after all the passengers left the station, only he was stranded on the platform and could not pass through the tunnel, and after the volunteers understood the situation, they spontaneously devoted themselves to this special escort ...... despite their exhaustion.
