"I congratulate you on making a fortune, I congratulate you on being wonderful", when the single song "Wishing you prosperity" is played on a loop in major shopping malls, have you ever thought about what is the first step to really want to get rich in the new year?

Otherwise, if you hug the wrong thigh, you can't blame the God of Wealth for not taking care of us.

There are more than one or two gods of wealth

Different religions worship the God of Wealth.

Among the four heavenly kings of Buddhism, there is a Duowen Heavenly King, who is in charge of the world's treasures and is the god of wealth in Buddhism. The god of wealth in Tibetan Buddhism is called the god of wealth with five surnames, and the god of wealth is green, white, red, yellow, and black according to the color of the body, and is offered by the major sects of Tibetan Buddhism. The god of wealth in Han Buddhism has the Garan Bodhisattva Guan Gong, and since the Tang Dynasty, the Chinese Zen dojo has the custom of worshipping the Garan Bodhisattva Guan Gong.

The Taoist edict is to enshrine the gods in official positions. The folk gods of wealth are roughly divided into three categories: the positive god of wealth, the evil god of wealth, and the quasi-god of wealth. The evil God of Wealth is actually a "partial God of Wealth", doing some of the work that the God of Wealth should do, but he has never been honored by the God of Wealth. The quasi-God of Wealth means reserve.

According to the "God of Wealth Faith", the God of Wealth is divided into the God of Literature and Wealth and the God of Martial Wealth. The fortune of the text is the treasure, and the house of the martial arts is established.

God of Wealth: Different positioning, each with its own characteristics

There are four gods of wealth - Caibo Xingjun, Fu Lu Shou Sanxing, Bigan and Fan Li.

Cai Bao Xingjun is also called the God of Wealth, this old man is very popular with everyone, most of the statues of the God of Wealth on the ancient woodblock New Year paintings are him, and the statues of the God of Wealth on the banknotes during the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China are also him. In some New Year's paintings, he has a childish face, brocade clothes and jade belts, holding "Ruyi" in one hand and a "cornucopia" in the other, and the words "Fortune and Treasure" are written on the cornucopia. The style of painting is not ordinary!

Why is he the God of Wealth? The historical prototype, called Li Yizu, was an official in the Northern Wei Dynasty, honest and virtuous, and loved the people like a son, and after his death, people built an ancestral hall to commemorate him. It is recorded in Taoist classics that Li Yizu is in charge of people's blessings, promotion, clothing, food, housing and transportation, and is an immortal who can bring good luck and wealth to people. At the beginning of the Tang Dynasty, Tang Gaozu Li Yuan enshrined Li Yizu as "the prince of wealth and wealth". Later Tang Mingzong named him "Shenjun Blessing Xianggong", and Yuan Shizu named him "Fushan Ping Shigong". Nowadays, most of the people who are engaged in stock and banking-related businesses worship him as their ancestor and respect him very much.

The second is called Fu Lu Shou Samsung. According to Sima Qian's "Historical Records and Heavenly Official Book", the six stars directly in front of the Big Dipper are collectively called Wenchang Palace, and the last one is the Lu Star in charge of Guanlu. Some people think that he is Wen Changxing, who blesses the title of the candidate's gold list, and some people think that he was originally a Taoist priest with unique skills, but no matter what, Lu Xing is a star official in charge of fame and fortune.

He was wearing a luxurious court dress, a jade belt around his waist, and a jade ruyi in his hand, as if he was about to add you to the rank of official and knight, and add wealth to Lu. There is no doubt that Lu Xing is the God of Wealth, and the other two are a lucky star and a birthday star, which is not related to wealth, but they can play auxiliary, "three stars arch light, the hall is festive, and wealth and fortune are naturally increased", so the three stars were worshiped together.

Fu Lu Shou Samsung|Source: The creative generation of picture insects is loyal to the gods, and he is also the god of wealth! Legend has it that he took the talisman water given to him by Jiang Ziya, and did not die after being gouged out of his heart, but came to the people to scatter treasures. Because he has no heart, he has no heart and no direction, and he does things fairly, and he who deals under his shadow deals fairly, and does not cheat on each other. Therefore, Bigan was worshipped as the god of wealth by later generations. It is logical for Fan Li to be the God of Wealth. Thinking that after his retirement from the old man's housekeeping circle, he would be in love with the shopping mall, working hard, accumulating countless funds, and being able to distribute money extensively, this kind of strength is naturally respected as a "wisdom" God of Wealth. "Red" and "black": Compared with the God of Literature and Wealth, the two heavyweight gods of martial arts seem to be more widely spread among the people: a black-mouthed and black-faced Zhao Gongming, and a red-faced and long-haired Guan Yunchang. According to the record of "Romance of the Gods", Zhao Gongming was given an elixir for his meritorious work in protecting his master Zhang Daoling's alchemy. Who knew that after taking the medicine, his whole body trembled and emitted white smoke, his face was charcoal black, and he grew a thick beard, and he became extraordinary, and he had a fight with the master. Zhang Tianshi asked him to guard the Xuantan and be called the Marshal of the Xuantan. But Zhao Gongming went astray and helped the abuse, but fortunately, he was surrendered by Jiang Ziya, and named him the god of the Golden Dragon Ruyi Zhengyi Dragon and Tiger Xuantan Zhenjun, so that he could control the money in the world and attract wealth for the people.

Everyone knows that Guan Yu is a martial saint who is not a good woman and does not love money, how did he become the god of wealth? Before the Qing soldiers entered the customs, Nurhachi compared Mongolia to Eastern Wu, and at the same time compared himself to Liu Bei, Guan Yu also became a hero of "his own family." After entering the customs, he continued to add titles to Guan Yu, and by the time of Guangxu, it had been increased from the original "Loyal and Righteous Shenwu Guan Shengdi" to 26 words (Zhongyi Shenwu Lingyou Ren Yongwei Xian protected the country and protected the people, sincere appeasement, Yi praised Xuande Guan Shengdi). In the middle of the Qing Dynasty, some Jin merchants offered Guan Yu to the Jin Chamber of Commerce, and Guan Yu had the image of the God of Wealth. At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, the Guandi Temple was large and small up to tens of thousands, the government was highly supportive, the merchants worshipped, and the image of Guan Yu's God of Wealth was like the sky.

Guan Yu|Source: There is also a legend in the creation of picture insects, Guan Yun has long managed the soldiers and horses, is very good at settling accounts, and looks mighty and domineering, stresses credit, values righteousness, can attract wealth and enter treasures, and can also protect wealth and deter villains, so he is worshiped as the god of martial arts and wealth by merchants. The most prestigious of the partial God of Wealth is the "Five Road God", Marshal Zhao Gongming, Zhaobao Tianzun Xiao Sheng, Nazhen Tianzun Cao Bao, Fortune Messenger Chen Jiugong and Lishi Xianguan Yao Shaosi. Don't look at the name is difficult to understand, in fact, to put it bluntly, you can have wealth and luck when you go out with the blessing of the gods of the east, west, south, north and middle. (Qing Yao Fujun said: "The god of the five roads is commonly known as the god of wealth, in fact, he is the god of the five rituals, and he can get wealth when he goes out on the five roads.") Among the five road gods, Eli City has the highest appearance rate. Whether it is Marshal Zhao Gong or the blessed heavenly official, there is always a good city immortal official around him as a follower. Speaking of the quasi-God of Wealth, the most lucky buddy is Liu Haichan. He originally had nothing to do with money, but his Taoist name is good-"Sea Toad", people attached to the legend of "Liu Hai Play Toad", "Liu Hai Play Golden Toad, Step by Step Spit Money", wherever he goes, the money will be sprinkled. Hence the name "God of Wealth". In addition to the above, there are many rich local characteristics of the God of Wealth, such as Jiangsu and Zhejiang most of the worship of "Jin Yuan Seven Governors", legend has it that he is a hero of the anti-Japanese war, after his death the local people hope to still be able to be protected by him, they built a temple to worship him, the second and sixteenth of the first month of each month to worship, called Baili City. To sum up, we find that the God of Wealth is a group among the people, not a "person", but a collection of various gods from very different sources, in more fashionable terms, that is, "heavenly group". Probably only the "Heavenly Group" can be in charge of astronomical wealth. Sources: 1. "Chinese Classic New Year Paintings", Huo Qinglian, Henan Literature and Art Publishing House, 2010 2.
